My 93 yr-old mum has been imbibing the same this very afters noon :) It's not 'Baileys' but perfickly adequate vfm!
(I enjoyed a smidgen two)

I've never tried it but it won a coveted award recently. I don't mind a Baileys every now and then so might get a few bottles of this to give away as Christmas presents. There is one near Croydon, I think that is the nearest shop to me.

Baileys have come up with other flavours of the original too. ....orange, coffee, chocolate and last year 'biscotti' (which was most unpleasant)think they may have also done mint.
I would rather the original but only have one at xmas as the Mrs gets a bottle in (honest!)
What else is good for a change?....anyone? I have a port or three too but like the creamy 'gay, chase me' after dinner ones too.GrinLovely with a bit of good quality vanilla ice-cream. Khalua is quite tasty..

You get what you pay for and imo it`s crap compared to Baileys.
Report SlippyBlue December 17, 2014 8:06 PM GMT
B52's will be right up your alley paulypaul, so to speak. Baileys, Kalhua and Grand Marnier. Ooh I could crush a grape..

you sound like a guy who would appreciate a Babycham with a cherry in it. Make sure it's a small glass though don't want you hurting your wrist.

All we need now is a crate of Ballycastle and abitofinterest to organise one of his "special" group hugs. I'll be busy elsewhere doing stuff but hopefully you'll all enjoy yourselves Plain

Draught Guinness ,pint for the drinking of,  top up, gently , with Pony.
If Pony is not available Babycham will do.

Bottled Guinness can be taken with Pusser's, Woods or even Navy Neaters.

Could be worth having a bash at making your own "Baileys" type drink.

The ingredients are simplistic, and you can add to the cream, little by little, until to your own taste.

Will be a bare fraction of the cost, and you know exactly what's gone into it.

I'm deffo going to now that I've suggested it.

A womans drink! What's happening with the men of this country? If it's not Baileys it's tea. All going soft or g4y.

oh crisp - you are a flirt Wink
Report Aunty Post December 18, 2014 5:03 PM GMT
Actually, making it ones self might not be so economical after all, as the ABV is 14.5%, so that means something like a quarter of a bottle of whiskey/whisky
plus the cream which will be another £3.00 or so.

The English were never drinkers akabula. I was in a pub one night in Uttoxeter one night and one of the locals told me that the big guy in the corner was a heavy drinker and drank 6 pints in a night. Shocked We have that to wash down our breakfast Crazy 3 glasses of Baileys and they are drunk. Whoops

Mac, the priests at the Galway festival would put the rest of us to shame. Father O'Flaherty would do 20 pints of Guinness no problem at the races and still be up to give mass the next morning. The bloke was a legend.Shocked
Report Burton-Brewers December 18, 2014 8:41 PM GMT
slippy at the bottling stores where my old man started they were all virtually 30 pints a day men, they'd mix double diamond with triple A. My old man is very lucky to still be alive most of his ex workmates are not.
