Pack it in mate, you're making a fool of yourself and bringing the BBC into disrepute with this blatant cronyism.
Who wants to look at him on a Sunday morning slurring his speech and almost nodding off during interviews.
Interviews where politicians are given such an easy time they turn into political party broadcasts instead of informative investigations.
He doesn't even ask the politicians any awkward questions let alone chase them when they're being evasive.
This is a typical example of the BBC letting what was a high profile show lapse into mediocrity.

They've ruined Newsnight, by changing it around so that all their followers are losing interest judging by the plummeting viewing figures.
Question Time has been described as the Jeremy Kyle show after having bare-chested baby Brand on the panel.
Ian Austin the Labour MP said the programme had become a farce, and called the display simply terrible.
Now the BBC persist with this incompetent, who is surely the worst presenter on television.

Oh it's the weekly take a pop at Andrew Marr thread, turn it in and come up with new material
Marr has managed to make that programme even more unwatchable than when David Frost was at the helm, which almost beggars belief.
'Question Time' became a complete joke of a programme years ago. The latest nonsense involving Russell Brand was surely the final croak. Please can we have this programme now put in its grave.
'Newsnight' has become a truly loathsome affair, masquerading as serious journalism, but in truth another 'fashion' parade where any number of idiotic lefty "celebrities" are regular guests, offering their collective wisdom into the latest non-issues du jour

Wouldn't say Marr has gone downhill particularly, despite his speech problems. I totally agree with alun about QT and Newsnight though. Very sad decline and cheapening of once serious programmes.

Sunday morning has never been the time for hard hitting political interviews its always had a more relaxed feel.
Paxman turned into very gentle interviewer in his later years.
I doubt if anybody could have given the ex boss of the Coop an easier time than Paxman did on Newsnight.
