Apologies in advance if you have moaned this one out already. Not enjoying the latest round format - half hour of the pair saying "yes chef" and telling us how much they have learned from whoever it is getting the free publicity this week. Prefer a load of them cooking - against each other - and messing up badly on the usual things (unintentionally serving raw meat/fish, soufflés that fail, ice cream that doesn't set, etc etc) all back-edited to show the host celeb chef had forebodings about the adventurous combination of salmon ceviche and strawberry.
I only discovered Masterchef this year and thought it was really entertaining but a few months of it, a celebrity one, an amateur one and this one are so repetitive I,m sick of it. Cant believe they have managed 10 years or whatever. Its so dull. Its only food ffs.Eat it.

The one on one challenge is total pants & as boring as @#@# imo, only been watching the last 20 min but because there are five of these programmes before the final I have now totally lost interest.

One difference is there is less drama about who is going. With Michel Roux Jnr, you needed to pay careful attention to who was praised, and whose dishes were damned with faint praise; Marcus Wareing tells them straight up if their food was rubbish.

best programme on telly, enjoying it as ever. Never watch the celebrity one though.
That french geezer with the 2 stars last night though...talk about paranoid...'oui, come in to my restaurant, get some experience, test your skills...er, I'll let you put some crab in a bowl, spoon some jelly on top and add a few micro-herbs'
