Brilliant - I've found another version of this musical masterpiece by Otway with an introduction (Darth Cowell!) and the lyrics on screen:

This song does grow on you, I do admit.  Would be cracking if the radio stations gave it a bit of publicity.

I had never heard of JonOtway before TT mentioned him.  The B side is better, it is on facebook, not sure about youtube.

Here you go...

He got the a and b sides the wrong way round.  Rocking with the Reindeer, and you can actually here his, quite pleasant, voice on this one.  And some decent guitar work too.

I dont want to appear too smart about someone I only heard of in the last week, but fk me he clearly deserves his reputation.  He finally makes a half decent song and the dozy tw.t puts it on the b side.  Rocking with the reindeer is infinitely better, at a push it is proper good and worthy of a christmas classic.  Either way I love the guy already.

Excellent work, Rob!
It's very good - but not mad enough for me.

I like my Otway puddled - and 'OK Father Christmas' fits the bill nicely!

haha!
Take a look at his 'Really Free' hit, Rob.
When he announced himself on the scene with that one it was like a breath of fresh air. Total lunacy!

This was him  singing Really Free on The Old Grey Whistle Test in 1977:

It might be one of the songs that they keep removing until someone puts it up again, Rob.

It happens all the time on YouTube so it (wrongly) looks like few people have bothered to watch it or comment on it - but thousands have done in the past.
