Plus the Vicky Hamilton case was solved in recent years. These were notorious cases. Who knows how many Sinclair and Tobin have killed between them.

Once again, wet liberal do-gooders have blood on their hands for letting this filth out over and over again.

Ah but they have rights we are told.
If capital punishment is not an option then life should mean life.
Look at Sinclair's record, he should have been locked up for life in 1961 for strangling a 7 year old who he had sexually abused.
Horrible person and I hope he lives for almost the length of is tariff and suffers every day.

Disgusting creature, but as a Scots lawyer, I strongly disapprove of the abolishment of the double jeopardy law. Opens the door to a system where government can keep trying you until they find you guilty. Something inherently wrong about that.

I believe there has to be new compelling evidence that has come to light for there to be a 2nd trial.

DNA is usually quite compelling imo.

So if this horrible vile piece of filth was not already in prison you would be happy to see him roam the streets rather than face a second trial?
That's what's wrong with our laws, too many rules to protect the criminals.
As Wesdag said there has to be compelling new evidence for there to be a second trial. A real lawyer would know that.

I agree with aka. Vile criminals like Sinclair getting off on technicalities is a travesty of justice.

How may times was he released?

Maybe, but the sentence was for 10 years, 'life means life' doesn't apply here.
Horrible person and I hope he lives for almost the length of is tariff and suffers every day. I doubt you'll find many wet liberal do-gooders who don't think the same.

I know it didn't apply there but it should have. The prosecution accepted a plea to a lesser charge.
A seven year old he sexually abused and then strangled and all he served was 6 years.
He should have been done for murder rather than culpable homicide and locked up for life.
These two lassies and whoever else he killed would still be alive today if proper justice had been served.

BTW it was Wesdag who posted that. I merely copy and pasted his comment when I responded to him.

perhaps we could remove part of the murderer's body on a suitable date

Jan 1st,Mar 20th,June 21st,Sep 23rd,Nov 5th & Dec 25th.

We could start with toes and go on to fingers followed by feet, hands and half limbs.

films of the amputations could be on a continuous loop on a tv in their room.

the fact that he killed a young girl aged 16 does show there are some people who are innately evil and just cannot be rehabilatated

a lesson to those that think everyone and especially young killers deserve a 2nd chance

Exactly.

These wet liberals just can not accept that there are people out there who are just evil and beyond help.

If you're opposed to capital punishment, or believe in something as fanciful as prisoner rehabilitation, you're a wet liberal, BnB.

The likes of the Howard League who constantly campaign for the rights of criminals and seek to reduce the numbers in prison.

They could reduce numbers by executing a few.
