How long will Champagne be OK in a fridge.

I've had a bottle in its box in the kitchen since 2002.

No best before or use by dates.

it will keep for years, but make sure you lie the bottle down in order to prevent the cork drying out; if you don't get round to drinking it maybe you could just shove it up neil warnock's arse

I opened a magnum that was at least 20 years old quite recently.

Probably past its best but certainly still quaffable.

Take no notice of these health and safety pillocks and people out to rob you blind by 'informing' you that you now need to throw that bottle away and buy another one because it's out of date.

You can soon tell if it tastes okay by opening and tasting the bleeder.

I think their is a distinct difference with vintage champagne and ordinary champagne. I believe vintage champagne can be kept for years if not decades but its my understanding ordinary champagne has only a limited lifespan.
