For the first time in my life I'm not doing it myself - I've got a decorator instead. I'm not getting paint on myself. I'm not getting covered in dust. I'm not thinking "Jesus, this is f'cking boring", and I'm not leaning against the door jamb I've just glossed.

No. This one lives in Amersham. He earns more painting and decorating here than he can with his degrees in Geography and Tourism back there. Which doesn't surprise me.
