Walk past the clock tower in the centre of Leicester on any week day and then you will see the future of Great Britain
Thought this program was very poor, very poor. I wouldn't bother if you were planning on watching this on catchup tv.

Yep, poor programme.. Would have benefited from some facts regarding total numbers of immigrants, how benefits are assessed /calculated etc etc. those in work vs those that are not etc etc.

i was trying to work out how the woman who wouldn't stay in the same house as a man because that was what her culture dictated, was an unmarried mother with four young children

I lived and worked in Leicester for 12 months back in '82. I found it a lovely place with nice people, and I still go back to visit at least once a year. One of my work mates was a Sikh and he invited me to his brother's wedding, one of the biggest and best p1ss ups I've ever been to. The muslims of this country could learn a lot from the Sikh community they are such friendly and respectful people.

Yes I would agree with you burton. Likewise with many Hindus. Why is it someone else who follow another religion not show some attempts to be involved in society, instead of forming areas where even the law cannot be enforced(and that was from a senior copper!)

Uni at Leicester in the early 90's. Was a nice place then although there were some frictions beginning to creep in with the muslim community. Remember seeing Martin Johnson walking through the town centre. He was one big lump.

All the immigrants are obviously working.
That's why they come here.
The luvvies say so, and they're always right.

I've worked in and around Leicester for the last few years now and I can't stand the place. I only live 8 miles away but never visited it for drinking or shopping or anything like that.

She is doing really well. She's walking with a stick (unaided if she's round the house, but very cumbersome) her left arm has next to no movement but she does feel good sensations in it which sounds hopeful. She's cooking and cleaning! She's gone back to work 2 days a week for a bit of sanity, the other days are took up by physio and hospital appointments. I can't believe it'll be 9 months next week. I don't think she'll ever get fully fit again but she's giving it a damned good go. Her attitude throughout it all has been great.
Thanks for asking.

Cultural/arts quarters nicely developed? The Curve Theatre is largest in Europe ? The Highcross shopping Centre is the envy of the UK ?

They have spent a few quid doing the place up recently, but that seemed to take forever. I'm afraid all I see are Asians everywhere, run down houses and dirt. It seems like the dirtiest city I've ever visited.
Half in keeping with this thread though, they have a fantastic hospital.
Cheers Slippy. Those things don't really appeal to me Facts. They have spent a few quid doing the place up recently, but that seemed to take forever. I'm afraid all I see are Asians everywhere, run down houses and dirt. It seems like the dirtiest cit
Thin and Crispy 04 Nov 14 18:58 and what about the strain on Call me a taxi? the poor chap.
I didn't move away from one sh1thoie to go to another one like Leicester.
No blacks or asians within a ten mile radius, and guess what, no murders, drive by shootings, muggings, robberies, rapes or drug dealers.
Nobody been arrested, let alone for terrorist offences, and as you can tell by the previous sentence, they won't be able to hide among their own kind here.
Two churches within 200 yards, no mosques within fack knows how many miles.
No EDL or UAF rallies we don't need them.
No strain here at all.

Facts you are correct The Highcross with its shops and bars also the various places to eat is exceptional outside one of our major cities. But it's full of "innits" with their Hoodies on their Headies, and FFS somebody buy them a belt for their trousers. Surely Calvin Klein can do belts as well as Boxers, it's not exactly Dragons Den material surely.

People tend to gravitate towards their ethnic and socio economics groups no matter what forced social engineering labour/libs try to impose. All the sh&te unfortunately aren’t 10 miles away but at least they’re completely on the other side of town to me. I sometimes drive through that side , it’s obvious that the only whites that live there are either broke and/or ski’s. ‘Strangely’ even though my current house is worth more than twice the last one the insurance is cheaper because it’s further away from that area.

Was in Newham the other day & I see the fine art of gobbing on the street has not abated, cannot go 50 yards before you hear that awful inward grunt as they bring the phlegm up before spitting it out, I have never really noticed this anywhere else & just wondered if this occurs in other inner cities on a regular basis.

Newham welcomes Tuberculosis, it's multicultural.
