There were only five that weren't pointless, pumps. Arkle, Dessie, Kauto Star, Imperial Commander and Bobs Worth.

Having backed that trio, you obviously didn't need the measly couple of grand you woulda won anyway!

I could easily be one of the rare Betfairians who would not get a pointless answer here as I know the names of very few horses.  My guesses of Desert Orchid, Arkle and Best Mate would be a win by sheer fluke.

Cheltenham is up there with The Ryder Cup and British Lions tours as the most overhyped sporting events.

Presented by Sky (or C4/Racing Post in this case ) as events that stop the entire nation  ,when in realty only people especially interested in those sports day to day are bothered .

I'd have gone for Long Run first up and not expected it to be pointless.
