Only 5 of the 43 answers werent pointless

3 of the non pointless answers were obvious, one a little harder, and the other one I guess was only picked because one of the 100 must have had a bet on it.

I'd go for Alverton or Little Owl.

Dessie,Kauto Star and Imperial Commander all scored but Cool Ground would have won it.

Nortons Coin 100/1
Cool Ground  50/1
Burrough Hill Lad 20/1 AP

backed all three at those prices, I suspect they were all pointless, now that would have been the perfect question to get when I was on the show Sad

There were only five that weren't pointless, pumps. Arkle, Dessie, Kauto Star, Imperial Commander and Bobs Worth.

Having backed that trio, you obviously didn't need the measly couple of grand you woulda won anyway!

Funnily enough its probably been my luckiest race unlike the Derby & National etc

The Thinker 16/1 in the morning
Cool Dawn 33/1

Were others I backed though I have not had the winner this century Crazy
On a level stake Unless I live to be about 300 it will always be a profitable race Wink

My Dad was on Cybrandian at huge prices pumps, that was a horror story for the Blue family when The Thinker done him on the run in.

I could easily be one of the rare Betfairians who would not get a pointless answer here as I know the names of very few horses.  My guesses of Desert Orchid, Arkle and Best Mate would be a win by sheer fluke.

Yes hard to believe 100 people would not name Best Mate Shocked

Just shows what a minority sport horse racing is.

Yep

Cheltenham is up there with The Ryder Cup and British Lions tours as the most overhyped sporting events.

Presented by Sky (or C4/Racing Post in this case ) as events that stop the entire nation  ,when in realty only people especially interested in those sports day to day are bothered .

I'd have gone for Long Run first up and not expected it to be pointless.
