This is going back an awfully long time but, in many ways, better days.

Walking over, with the "posse" of management, to the "Skanda Grill" Greek restaurant in Leeds, for lunch.

I was introduced to said chairman and his response was "interesting"!

That made me feel very special.....Shocked

Used to have a chairman called Jeremy fields as we were part of a group his visits were infrequent,
We took to calling him strawberry in his absence.
he was supposed to be visiting the factory to see a new bit of kit ,so i shouted to the production manager across the shop floor how longs old strawberry fields up for this time.
He walks out of production managers office where he had been making a phone call and says forever old boy forever.True story and i never got a raise after that Untill the coont retired.

'Sorry' was his first word.

I had no idea who he was as our head office was in Kensington. He got out of his car and walked into the warehouse without asking anybody.

I walked in after him and asked him 'Where do you think you're going? This isn't open to the public to walk around. You need a visitors pass.'

Scruffy facker for a CEO, had a crumpled suit on, unshaved, had longish hair and a loose tie. His shoes were good and shiny though. Happy

You've lost me there. I think you will find that I did, and you're confused?

"Undercover Boss"

Attendance would have probably been useless.
I only saw him once in just over 6 years.
