Documentary exploring the unsolved murder of Crimewatch presenter and newsreader Jill Dando, who was shot dead outside her house in Fulham, west London, in April 1999. Intense media coverage followed and several lines of enquiry were pursued, including a theory that she had been killed by a jealous ex-boyfriend and the idea that somebody had hired a hitman in revenge for a conviction linked to Crimewatch. Following a trial at the Old Bailey, 40-year-old Barry George was found guilty of Dando's murder, but a third appeal quashed his original conviction and resulted in his acquittal in 2009

Wired for Sound is a 1981 album by Cliff Richard. The album spent 25 weeks in the UK album charts in 1981, peaking at number 4 on release. Two songs from the album - the title track and "Daddy's Home" - were also top ten hits, reaching number 4 and number 2, respectively. Globally the album has sold over 1.1m copies.

The video for the title track was filmed in the centre of Milton Keynes, the new town in Buckinghamshire, and showed Cliff rolling along on rollerskates and listening to music on a Walkman cassette player.

Barry George is still denied any compensation is he not? on grounds that `he is not innocent enough`

How can you not be innocent enough? surely if you are wrongly convicted and serve 7 years inside then you should be compensated for the inconvenience.

^ seen that article before but very interesting, and that is exactly how Savile and others got away with it at the time,  “no one wanted to know”, if anyone said anything there was a policy of turning a blind eye and not doing anything.

I saw Barry George not long - maybe two weeks - after his release. He was standing, in baggy trackies, sandals and a badly-buttoned up shirt, on the corner of a busy street looking like a fish out of water.

How they managed to convince a jury that such a maladroit could have carried out that murder in the way it was carried out still amazes me to this day.

Exactly, just round up the local nutters and pick one !

Very hard to imagine him and the way that murder was carried out, when it had all the hallmarks of a very experienced hit-man.

Regrettably, this must go down on the records as a perfect murder. Not only did the perp get away with it, but he or she pointed the police in the wrong direction, thus allowing the trail to go ice cold. The perp left no evidence and no plausible witnesses. This is one of those cases where the truth will never be known. I have no idea why this poor lady was murdered, but the lack of any evidence points to a well executed professional hit. It is virtually impossible these days to carry out this sort of crime without leaving any undetectable evidential material at the crime scene.

I hope this clarifies the matter.

A pro hit no doubt. And someone who knew (or was told) her whereabouts on that morning in question.

As the Met are utterly convinced she wasn't followed.

you have to basically prove you didn't do it to get compo which is of course nigh on impossible

you wouldn't have been convicted in the first place if you had a cast iron alibi showing you couldn't have done it

- Miss Dando was investigating the VIP paedophile-ring, linked to Government, Royalty and the BBC.  She had been investigating for a TV documentary and book, detailing the endemic sexual abuse of young boys by ‘people of prominent positions’ (PPP’s). Miss Dando had lied to the BBC saying the research was for ‘sexual health of youngsters’.  Sir Cliff Richard is now known to have attended Elm Guest House, and is currently being investigated for child sex offences.

- Miss Dando was mysteriously befriended by Cliff Richard prior to her death. (See ‘According to the News Letter ( Belfast): below)
(could Cliff Richard have been both giving, and covertly extracting information from Miss Dando?)

-Only a handful of close friends and relatives could have known the travel plans, routes and locations on the morning of her murder.

- Cliff Richard was one of the last people to have ever spoken to Miss Dando

Being killed because of what she uncovered about a vip peado ring is more plausible than Barry George doing it.

I've always believed she was murdered by the Serbians in a revenge attack. This is still the most plausible theory, imo.

Are there more Paedos or Siberian Secret Agents.

Infact paedos would probably make better secret agents, with their holier than thou front.
