Stoke's buses put their heating on yesterday - and broke about half of them!
Caused absolute chaos on the public transport system here - in torrential rain. You've never seen so many people looking like drowned rats from waiting at bus stops for buses which never came. Me in particular!

I put mine on for the first time since about March last Thursday night at about 11:45pm and have had it off and on since then.
Can't complain though.
My usage with First Utility on both gas and electric has been really low all summer so it will be almost spot on for the 12 months on the monthly DD payments I've made with them since last November when every month has been accounted for: Just less than £20 a month.

had my heating on yesterday first time since about April - smelt of dust
not very warm today either - it will warm up again though - you always get a mini cold snap in October

The only heating on in our house is the towel rail in the bathroom and hopefully that's the way it's going to stay for a few weeks yet. Get a conservatory. Even a weak sun on the glass provides enough heat to warm the downstairs rooms during the day. The heating will be turned on if we have a spell without any sun.
