nowhatamin - spoken as one word (and it's 'min' not 'mean')
common phrase used by black youths in the east end of London.

Some bastard who I see far too often says it about 4 or 5 times per minute. I want to punch him in his ugly face.

He wonders why he has very few friends and hasn't had a girlfriend in 11 years ( he's 30 years old ).

Used to a be a dart player in a pub in Manor Park who used it all day in every sentence.

On Sundays when we were playing cards, everybody at the table started to cough when he said it.

We gave up before he cottoned on.

I used to work with someone who'd start almost every sentence with: "the reality is..."

Wait until you see the new advert with the black youth in a striped jumper.

It may be the way he speaks, or it may be the script, who knows?

Is it a 'm' or is it a 'r'

Which is bad enough.

But his 'a' is not pronounced 'ay' - it's pronounced 'er'

So you hear - Is it er 'm' or is it er 'r'

Is it an 'em' or is it an 'ar' would be much better.

If somebody came to me for a job who spoke like that, white, black  or sky blue pink with dots, he/she would be wasting their time.

Another annoying one is people that pronounce 'the' as 'ther', no matter what word follows it.

Language is supposed to flow, not stop and start.

Which one would you use of these two examples:

Is this 'thee' end.

Is this 'ther' end.

If you chose the latter, you can fack right off. Laugh

Btw, how does a northerner pronounce that?

Is this t'end? Silly

Listen to interviews of Gaelic footballers or hurlers, or officials.
They can not complete a sentence without "Ya know".
I have heard "Ya know, ya know?"

Like i mentioned in a previous post, Jezza is the king of wordplay.
Never hear him trotting out this bollocks:

People who answer a question with "Listen" (Adrian O'Brian) is a worse crime of the english language.

Management speak at those bullsh!t meetings i attended daily were much worse than "you know what i mean."

Who on here uses "tell me about it!" Cry
