I watched on catch up last week , quite enjoyed it , first 2-3 episodes start well but kinda peters out a bit , they could've made the last few episodes a bit more exciting , plus Tom was a bit of a woofter

I thought Grace had shot him dead, not in the leg.  Surprised to see him appear, and not her. Perhaps she'll appear again later in the series.

Clever man Thomas, but I suppose he'll come unstuck in the end.

Good series, but the Brummie accents are terrible.

Correction: the actors' attempts at the Brummie accent are terrible.

Remember in those days people spent their whole life in one place generally so all members of a family would have had the same accent not variations on the Brummie accent as if hey had all been away for years and now were having a family reunion.

Fantastic programme.

Accents very dodgy, hugely ott plot lines.

BUT

Beautifully filmed, superbly acted, very very exciting climax, full of sex violence and horse racing,

And some people want to abolish our BBC.
