The biggest carpet I ever saw in one piece was going to Oman.
It arrived at our warehouse on a Saturday morning from Lisburn in Ireland.
It was the only thing on the trailer, 38 feet long and rolled up.
It took ten of us to lift it and carry it off.
There were only 7 of us in, so we got as few from the local cafe to help.
Then the moronic foreman (an ex-docker) told us to lay it across the forks of a standard 2 ton diesel truck, he said he would lift it clear of the floor and then take it to the far end of the warehouse out of the way.
Being as thick as sh1t he didn't realise that this would leave 17 feet of carpet hanging on either side.
Despite us telling him, he carried on lifting and said 'I know what I'm doing, that's why I'm in charge.'
Off he sped, with the carpet hanging 6 inches from the floor, and smashed every overhead flourescent light with the guard of the truck.
What a gormless cnunt he was.
