It'll be the tories that suffer most by ukip as the liberals will all vote labour and tories will switch in droves in the south,long term even worse news for the tories as well as labour voters will eventually return to the party after the immigration card has frizzled out.Tories must be seething!!

The ukip part will be a minority part in 5 years time,absolutely knowhere as mentioned below for the time being liberals will switch to labour they have no choice,but eventualy there will be some turning point and the party will become the 3rd party again.This could be 5/6 years away but will happen as will all the labour vote go back,ukip will destroy the tory chances of ever forming a majority government!!

In 2010 many labour voters switched allegiance to the Liberals in protest at the shambolic labour government but will now switch back to labour as they have short memories and are reverting to type.They are not true liberals. |

It's very simple,liberals are the only real left of centre part left do you think the liberals want to be with the tories this is what has destroyed the part over 20% of voters have strong left wing leanings,that section of society will never be bough by any of the remaining partys.It is plain as night follows daty,that at some point the liberals will have a resurgence and that 20% will want to punish the current part and lean towards labour for at least the foreseeable future..

I am a Liberal voter and you have my view. Obviously I can't speak for others but I would expect most would want enough Liberal MPs to hold the balance of power. Voting Labour is voting for a bunch of proven failures without a credible economic policy.

You must in the minority as most liberals must be thinking along the lines of forming a government with the labour party,the tories have made them a laughing stock being in a coalition a complete embarrassment.Until that coalition is abandoned the liberals have no future,as I said its a certainty at some point the part will see a resurge once they've distanced themselves away from the tories and the immigration vote dies out for ukip..

The policy is to follow the will of the electorate which means that in the event of another hung parliament they will talk to whichever party has the most seats.Your view of the coalition government differs from mine.

Would you have preferred a majority Tory government? Many on here would. Do you think that that anything would have been different or not?
How would a majority labour government in 2015 compare with a coalition government? I wouldn't expect them to be the same. We will have to wait until May to find out. We don't even know if Labour will win the most seats yet. |
