I turned up a few times for his quizzes, only for him to fall into a drunken stupor at around midnight, leaving players sitting here waiting for the next question. 

Some thought it was funny, but I thought it was annoying.

That's reminded me of the grouch, think he added a 't' the Groutch? What's his name on here these days?

I remember refereeing him in the individual quiz league _ i still bear the scars!

afternoon guys

Easily my most enjoyable quizzering experience on here was playing against The Dragon in a quarter final knockout stage one year. It was just pure comedy gold Poor old Londis Lagerhound was trying to be the arbitrator and reason with our erstwhile hero why he had been eliminated but to no avail as TD just wouldn't have it and was eventually dragged screaming and kicking out of the premises

me and the dragon had some great matches,a couple of seller platers

The quiz League days were very good -even reffing the Dragon!

If we had known about 'Nibbsy's place' then, we could have carried on there, but once there was a gap there was no chance of getting it going again.

I put in 28 which was a guess, you said 32 but after the time out. You missed it by a fraction of a second and was right and then threw a wobbly of epic proprtions

To compund matters TD, you said it wasn't fair as I was a speed typer, someone pointed out that typing 2 numbers waasn't exactly a speed test. That really tipped you over the edge Marvelous stuff. RockMonkey knocked me out in the semis 5-4. Those quizzes were great.

Much to the surprise of all, starting at double figure odds, I forced Nirvana into a tie break in a semi-final, and as I got the lead early on it sent the in-running betting into chaos for a short while.
Not that it mattered, I lost.

I only lost one home match, where you answered 3 Qs on your own specialist subject and 3 on GK.
I got done by Graham & Green.
