Easy to forget just how big ELO were and how many hits they had. This is pure class.
By:
some huge ones still to come
By:
hold on tight.
By:
I may be wrong, but I think Bevan the drummer was the only guy to play in all 3 groups, i.e. The Move, Wizard and ELO.
By:
This is just brilliant!
What a terrific surprise for a Sunday night! |
By:
was he in wizzard?
By:
I`ve been lucky to see ELO at least 10 times in Concert. Brilliant live Group.
By:
I think he was initially elise but I may be wrong.
By:
Not in Wizzard. That was his ex ELO mate (briefly) Roy Wood.
By:
I like how Jeff is standing on a bit of carpet. Must make him feel 'at home'!
By:
Going down a storm with the audience. (quite rightly)
By:
Yes indeed kenny - and Jeff seems genuinely delighted by their reaction.
By:
True kenny, Wood, Bevan and Lynne were all in the Move and when they fell out, Wood set up Wizard and the other 2 ELO. All extremely talented and classically trained musicians.

A New World Record the first album & Mr Blue Sky the first single I bought.
I have 3 copies of Out Of the Blue(one on blue vinyl) , & 3 copies of Mr Blue Sky(2 on blue vinyl). ![]() |
By:
kenny, he means bevan, i know wood left but didn't know bevan went as well
By:
Kenny, was Wood ever in ELO? Can`t remember that
![]() |
By:
Yup
By:
Bevan replaced Ward as drummer in Black Sabbath.
By:
Indeed, he founded them with Geoff.
By:
Handle Me With Care.A great song.
By:
oops, ignore the "me".
By:
*Jeff
By:
How many of us are whistling along to the songs - or singing them, or tapping their fingers in time to them, I wonder?!
By:
all of the above , Tommy
By:
I'm doing a bit of all three - but whistling mostly.
By:
hehehe Sixtwosix!

Whoop!
Mr Blue Sky! |
By:
How can you listen to this song and not have a smile on your face?
By:
Might as well had got some mannequins and played a tape.
Nothing go on to make it feel like a concert. ![]() |
By:
This the start of a World Tour, I believe. The wage bill will be hefty.
By:
On the EP of Mr Blue album is a bit of garbage at the end but it actually says "Please turn me over" for the old 8 track players in cars
![]() Gerry Anderson (BBC Radio Ulster) RIP taught me that. |
By:
I wouldn't think Jeff'll be too worried about the money, kenny.
He probably wants one last hurrah - and judging by this performance tonight, he'll sell out all over the world - plus millions of albums. |
By:
As sung
![]() Thanks for putting me onto this, this is brilliant |
By:
rather good for a sunday night
By:
I was sitting watching Rory , and reading the forum. Thanks to Degs for starting this thread.
I also forgot how good ELO were.As someone of a much advanced age , what a pleasure it was to see that. Absolutely first class. hennigan (ex b/f poker player ) |
By:
Well lets hope so, Tommy. It will be well deserved if it is a sell out everywhere.
By:
I don't think there'll be any doubt of that, kenny.
I wonder if he'll take his carpet with him?! |
By:
they don't have much trouble filling an hour and a half
By:
Brilliant Jeff - and all the rest of them.
And now we can listen to it all again! I thought he'd come out for a last encore! |
