Its not a race I looked at till afterwards but when you see the price it was on its last two visits 4/1 & 5/1 it did seem overpriced  tonight except recent form may have suggested it was more likely to win over six than seven furlongs.

As most things it evens out long term,it becomes more frustrating when you get a succession of horses to back that win at unbackable prices..

Ran decent race made the books look stupid again, was never going to win off that pace though needs a decent pace to aim at...

Looked a 3/1 shot and that's what its sp ended up,knew it couldn't win after 4fs all the races there today were a complete farce just glad it got in the frame although still may have been the best horse in the race with some guaranteed pace.I'll be back Christmas night writing out a preview for wolves, although doubt i'll be able to put prices up as at inlaws xmas day, just doing Mondays cards now..

All the best, xmas day is not for me just for my two kids lad is 3 now and daughters 12 so obviously they love it,spend most of my time in and out of hospital so racings the only thing that keeps me sane believe it or not.
Just done wolves looks poor havn't done Kempton but see if I can get a yank or lucky 15 together, hopefully a decent card boxing day..

I might have 4 rags for a lucky 15 Monday, one of them might be worth a small bet, reasonable racing for a monday and competitive,i used to go to the wolves meeting on boxing day as it used to be a decent card, nowadays it can be as poor as a Mondays card. All the best fella to you and family hopefully some nice bets over Christmas and new year..

You can drive 50 miles  from your house to put a bet on and the cashier recognise you, and you don't need the money anymore.

Are you Simon Cowell

Did you notice my EDGE yesterday.. Dreams of Glory  7/1 out to 16/1Wink

You havnm't got any edge I pulled you up 2 seasons ago when you saud you had some made up challenge with a bookie top reach x amount of points you were -60 odd and the you disappeared, then started numerous others whivh you've alsoi stopped. You never have or will have an edge 90% of the things yiou pick were coming off oddschecker when they'd shortened, think your intention was to try and get some sort of subs service up and running but after being -60 you had no chance. If you remember at the time I told you you had no chance od reaching the 100 points or whatever it was you finished -60,i couldn't even be bothered to bring it up,or say told you so...Shocked

Would be impossible for me to get bets on havn't been able to do so for 14 years, even if I took under the odds in a few hills shops the bets would get knocked back and they'd be phoning round. When you're trying to get ew Canadians on with best prices they know instantly who's bets they are...

Have a good one billy!!Hard cards tomorrow pumphol,i think they are races to note as some very competitive races and should be worth following plenty of notebook horses, definite races to watch on replays those handicaps..Got my boxing day preview to come which i'll write up on Tuesday once decs are up,just hope its better than the last few boxing day meetings at wolves..

Be lucky today
Spent a long time over the two cards, sorted out quite a few rags, may get a couple of winners but like a lot of mine they seem to win next time out !

Very rarely bet boxing day as the cards usually dire, which it never used to be plus getting prices is impossible as not around even if I did like something! Will be keeping a running total of bets and p+l up to april though from the daily threrad I'm expecting to be up at sp at the end as well!!ShockedCool

Couple a race but you have to look at the value, horses like hidden asset and comeuppance were rancid bets but like b the evans race you were getting 11/2 for jimmys hall so obvious thing to do was cover with a fcast with fav,all about using common sense.Like dreams child and persona grata I'd got them miles clear on times took 4/1 dreams child then had cover on reverse fcast,2 horse race getting 2/1 for the pair for the reverse,i deliberately left it late putting them up and the prices held up till the off.Waste of time me putting previews on there miles in advance the pricers just go to quick, like your gifted should've been 5/1 to win that race still vcan't believe the sp now.If I'd put that up early would've been 6-7/1 tops..
By:
pumphol.
When: 27 Dec 14 20:46
To be honest if the market moves that quickly there is no point in putting them up till shortly before the off really.

I see a blowout at Southwell, was a poor card & a couple I did fancy ran shockers

Weekends and holiday times are a bit different as prices hold up better in the main, today was an example when the prices held up somedays if I put a write up on there everythings halved in price by the next day even if I leave it late so they can be a waste of time sometimes. It's only supposed to give me something to do really,a lot of the meetings I put on there I know are rubbish or valueless but sometimes it can be useful just for a placepot for eg,think the picks tonight wouldv;e made the placepot a 6/1 winner.

Swell was an appauling meeting 4,6,7,5 runner races you can't win on cards like that there's just no value I backed sakhra just based on sire and some fcsts, ritas boy 5/4 and two rags in the 3.0 at 30s.The last race looked really suspect there today track was riding quick and the time was really slow winner just given the race very suspect especially when the Appleby horses was probably 3/4 seconds quicker than that run on form from being up with the pace.
By:

When: 27 Dec 14 21:09
Too many Southwell meetings close together does seem to dilute the cards somewhat

A double entente for me tomorrow, I will be a Happy Hammer if they beat Arsenal & even Happier If The Happy Hammer does the business at Lingers

Be lucky

Looks diabolical to me 3 maidens a 2mile race which I rarely bet in,1m3f race everythings out of form a mile nursery guessing on surface and the 5f sprint which looks impossible pin job I spent 15 mins looking at the prices hardly anything worth doing..

Are you on drugs?Around 80% of the aw meetings are poor and even if they're not poor like todays at lingfield they rarely throw up much in the way of value bar maybe placepots.
