English for me.

In the UK are only two nationalities Londonish and the rUK

Both or either, if you like. Depending upon the context.

I am both English and British. Being proud of one's nationality is rather an odd concept though. Being happy about the way you live your life or even proud of your achievements is fine but nations do good and bad things and most individuals have no influence over any of it.

English for me  - not even sure what Britain is - is it the UK ?  ,besides the word Britain sounds clumsy

English usually, but I think it's "British" for offician forms isn't it?

btw, I've only ever heard Yorkshire folk bang on about their county - unless you count Londoners.

Britain  sounds like an old fashiooned term for the UK , the only folk i hear use (Great) Britain  are the old folk from a bygone age or Royalty ,upper classes ,eccentric gentleman type thing

You can say British but you can't say UKish. Even the yanks call us Brits. The French call us all les Anglais regardless of any fine distinctions we might ourselves make.

To be fair, it's only the polite French who call us Les Anglais.

British isn't really a nationality as such - more of a political concept. English is a "proper" nationality - you can't vote to be English, Welsh, Scottish, Irish - you just are. Scots may vote to stop being "British"......whether they do or not is not the point here - the very fact that you can highlights the distinction.

I'd sooner tick 'Indigenous White English' but there's no box for that.
