I'm a bit confused - am I a racist?

Spot the difference.

In the Guardian recently, Prof Bhikhu Parekh, the Labour peer who chaired the Commission on the Future of Multi-Ethnic Britain, recently argued that the language around race has changed. He wrote “The term racism has undergone a change of meaning. It has lost its moral force. We use it today too freely. After the war if you said someone was racist, you had images of Hitler. A racist was someone who hated people. Now it is applied to someone who might say: ‘I love my people and want to keep others at a distance.’”

Having had the living **** kicked out of me and all my money, watch etc. stolen off me many years ago by 4 young black blokes I have always had a dislike/fear of young black boys/young adults. This doesn't apply to blacks over about 40 even though bizarrely my assailants would themselves now be in their 50s.

Am I a racist? It doesn't apply to the whole race. I have never discriminated against anyone, indeed I have employed young black people who I felt were suitable for a position when I could have given a job to a white candidate.

That would appear to be an error, as Nick Griffin went to Oxford, and also gained a boxing 'blue'. 

In a general knowledge quiz, I'd back Griffin against a black footballer every time.

On further reflection, I'd also back him against a white footballer every time, they're all thick.

I've become a lot more racist in recent years, specifically against those of Islamic faith.

I'm frustrated at their apparent refusal to fit in to British society, preferring instead to create a mini version of the Pakistani culture they (or their parents) left behind.

I'm disgusted to see Halal products being sold in high street supermarkets; schools segregating their pupils; governors with a secret agends; calls for Sharia law to be enforced in certain areas; honour killings, the list is long.

I'm angered at the media's refusal to truly reflect the problems Muslims are causing in this country; the recent Rotherham scandal being a perfect example.  One thousand four hundred white children being abused by a cabal of Pakistani men is hard to get one's head around, the sheer numbers are staggering and the fact that the racist angle is being played down a national disgrace.

I realise my views are racist and far from being politically correct but one might as well be honest.

Hold a similar view myself and have believed for a while that these money grabbing assassins calling themselves Islamic State   have appeared at the right time and the right place.

Before they arrived on the scene, this country was handing the lease of the nation over to Islam without a struggle.

Even the masses will have to raise their heads from the sand with these daily outrages, Tower Hamlets can yet be recovered from this filthy organisation.

Remember a few years ago when blair was the front man for the establishment?, you could lose a job for being a member of the BNP or passing leaflets about Rotherham, these days the PC brigade are looking likely to be the ones considered to be the knuckle draggers.

A man has been cleared of racially abusing Welsh club doormen by swearing at them and calling them "Taffs".

James Davis, 24, from Blakeney in the Forest of Dean, was alleged to have abused the bouncers in Lydney.

The incident happened after he was thrown out of a nightclub in the Gloucestershire town in January.

But Mr Davis was found not guilty of a charge of racially aggravated harassment at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court.

I don't think your views are racist. You have explained what you don't like about certain aspects of being Muslim and I can't see anything racist or politically incorrect about that. If you had said you don't like all Muslims because they're Muslims then that would be racist.

Clearly Islam is not a race, nor are its adherents.
I think anybody who says racist this and racism that haven't thought about it, they're just following the herd.
Just my opinion but that's the problem when people just make things up, like labelling some types of people as a "race".
