David Cameron when he visited Scotland the other day was speaking about Alex Salmond. Twice he said... Don't let Alex Salmond take you into the great unknown. The great unknown? I always thought that was Death? So is David Cameron equating independence with death.

Papa don't preach. Let Scotland leave big daddy's house.

The Jocks will be laughed at for the rest of eternity if they vote No and choose to sponge of English tax payers money and ruled by a party they never vote for, you almost couldn't make it up, the story will be passed down from generation to generation and nobody north of the border will ever be able to call themselves a proud Jock ever again. Vote YES.

Scotland has 8.3% of the UK population yet contributes 9.4% of the UK's tax.

so you're 100% wrong on your sponging troll

Not a Jock

You've missed the  point, there are a substantial number of people in bonny wee scotland thieving money of the English by claiming their hard earned tax payers money in the form of BENEFITS, they benefit heavily from the English, the vast majority of the the UK's wealth is generated from London and pumped up to the haggis munchers, your security, education, housing, health services are all subsidised by the English, the average Scot receives 1.5k more per year per head than an Englishman just from being in a Union, one one hand you could laugh at the English for that, on the other hand, I would have to top myself as a Jock, living, breathing and surviving day to day supporting my family thanks to the English, it would kill any shred of dignity I had. Support yourselves.

All the Uncle Toms who vote NO should be deported to England when we get our Independence. acquiesce12 is right in what he says regards pride and dignity but is way off the mark suggesting that the English tax payer subsidizes the Scots. Complete Bollocks. I just worry for the good people of England who will be subjugated to Tory rule for the rest of their existence.
Report David Fishwick Minibus Sales September 3, 2014 8:41 PM BST
that's another myth

every post-war government (citation needed for 2010) would have remained the same with or without the scottish vote

has acquiesce said anything that isn't just attention seeking? Scotland's GDP is only 2nd to the South East so if anything Scotland is subsidising other parts of the UK. Not that you'd here Scots talk like that, since we're all about equality, not the pathetic sort that feel better about themselves by looking for faults in our nice neighbourly UK cousins Laugh

@Alias I missed out in recent times. Wink

Of the last 5 elections Scotland has got who we voted for 3 times which I believe is similar to England.

England have failed to get the government they wanted 2 out of the last 5 times, yet Scottish vote has never affected the outcome of a post war general election is what I've got from this Fred Confused

Scotland

3 out of the last 5

but also

3 out of the last 8

England

4 out of the last 5

and

7 out of the last 8

So slightly more truth than scalding hot tea being thrown at Murphy but not too much.

The point being missed is that Labour had to shift to the right in order to be electable at Westminster and did not in Scotland. Therefore we will always end up with Tory or Tory-lite.
