I can't envisage a job in Edinburgh paying £8-50p an hour.

The 'Living Wage' in London, the most expensive place to live, is only £8-80p an hour, but firms are not under any law to pay that much, unlike minimum wage, which is enforceable.

Obviously if they want the best staff, they need to pay the £8-80p.

'You pay peanuts, you get monkeys' is an old but often true adage.

Schalke. I'm surprised there weren't more local people looking for work. 99% of applicants non-British...just shows how much we need them. At least they are seeking work.
