Gun law in America, the right to bear arms, he would have wanted to have gone that way!

I hope their Tripadvisor rating doesn't suffer.

That's not a tragedy. That's death by stupidity. A tragedy is when innocent people suffer, this is Darwinism. Give a 9 year old an uzi? Hmm, let's do a risk assessment on that one shall we?
|
|

It's a tradegy for the girl, would you want to grow up knowing that as a nine year old you'd shot a man dead because your half-wit parents and half-wit country don't appear to have an ounce of sense?
|
|
By:
You've gotta laugh at how dumb some yanks are.
|
|
By:
I cannot believe the stupidity of the parents. The instructor must have been off his trolley too.
How preventable this tragedy would have been with a bit of common sense. |
|
By:
She probably shot him deliberately with advice from daddy "Don't forget to say that the gun jumped when you pulled the trigger"!
How else are you gonna teach your kids to shoot people? ![]() ![]() |
|
By:
Tragedy for the kid of course. Never know, might, just might be able to keep the outcome from her at that age.
Common sense doesn't figure in American gun culture. |
|
By:
Yes, the little girl is completely blameless in all this.
|
|
By:
I hope she got showered in his blood and brain matter! I hope that it finishes her for life with any interest whatsoever in their stupid gun culture! Then, at least, some good will have come from this.
She can then pass on this experience to her own kids by making sure that THEY don't get involved in such stupid games! |
|
By:
On the plus side all the kids at school have stopped bullying her

Just heard the owner of the establishment say "we don't know how it happened"
FFS, anyone call tell you - you gave an uzi to a 9 year old! |
|
By:
For christ's sake - it was an accident!
Haven't you all done something when you were younger that you regretted in later life ...like accidentally sitting on a bomb detonator, or poisoning a sibling, or going out to a tapas bar and leaving young children in an apartment on their own, or letting your young son take the controls of a airliner in Russia. These things can happen to just about anybody. |
|
By:
Not if you don't have an uzi it doesn't
|

sorry mememe..... just read your post properly

I wonder if the girl was called Suzi?

Glad to see the U.S doesn't bother with all this elf and safety sh!te like we do. Peter Hitchens in the mail rightly slagged off those numbskulls cleaning Big Ben in all that safety equipment using harnesses etc. PC madness how can that possibly be a dangerous job, what could possibly go wrong
|
|
By:
Re Big Ben, there's a Health and Safety warning in that old nursery rhyme about the 'clock struck one'
And please, never say Peter Hitchens or the Mail and 'rightly' in the same sentence. The only thing in that paper that's correct is the date |

Have you ever tried to fire a similar weapon as an adult?
Try it if u ever have a chance - you will be amazed at the pull. it is fkn hilarious - stupid and irresponsible |

By:
Sadly,it's the American 'way'.
Basically,they're a nation of lunatics. |
|
By:
A nation rich in stupidity and denial.

You have to admire the dad, at 9, fook barbie, lets go shooting
![]() ![]() ![]() poor kid is harmed for life. |

By:
indeed she is Makybe_Diva ..not much common sense
Although I defend their right to carry arms, I wish we could But giving a Uzi machine gun to a 9 year old girl...........erm??? When we kids I remember playing cowboys and Indians with toy guns but playing it with real live Uzis well???????????????? |
|
By:
She did it on purpose. Her graduation day could be a real humdinger!

No sympathy with anyone involved in this shambles. So moronic you couldn't make it up.
|
|
By:
I can see this being very popular with kids
What I would not have done to fire a real live Uzi at 9 years old I remember getting annoyed when my parents refused to buy me a real harpoon gun for my Birthday on balance I think you are right Roger, |
|
By:
1diots all round except for the wee girl who's probably been mentally scarred for life.
|
|
By:
hopefully not, it was an accident
That Uzi should have been set for single shot, to set it on full auto is ridiculous if somebody loses control of such a weapon, you could get a whole magazine being sprayed everywhere which is what happened They claimed no accidents in 13 years previously, but even one is too many |
|
By:
Looking at the picture there are a few people behind her
I don't how many rounds a Uzi lets off in burst, but they may well have been lucky not to have more casualties |
|
By:
The Uzi is a tasty sub machine gun...but never designed for 9 year olds
Shambles is an understatement |
|
By:
True. They should have insisted on her using a more age-appropriate automatic weapon.
|
|
By:
I haven't fired a Uzi, but I have fired a submachine gun (army training)
The kickback is tremendous - you need real arm strength to be able to control the direction of the gun. IMHO there is no chance that a 9 year old child would be strong enough to control it. Instructors, parents to blame. |

They like to start the younguns early over their, 9 years old and Already bagged herself her first kill. Chuck Heston will be a proud man in his grave tonight we all can be assured of that.
P.S. It wasn't him she killed was it? |
