Not that I actually care , at least I own my bath , they just probably rent one Mischief

you can hear the neighbours in the bath,do you live in a tent ?

Just don't sing so loud.

I wouldn't be very happy to be woken up at two o'clock in the morning from the noise of someone taking a bath next door.

I just thank my lucky stars that I'll never have to live in a flat and have to mix with these kinds of people.

I will never know why anyone takes a bath, it's surely an old fashioned thing to do, who really wants to lie in their own filth for half an hourLaugh

shower is the only way
Report Ibrahima Sonko August 25, 2014 10:39 AM BST
you must be very dirty.

Nothing better than a long relaxing bath whilst reading a book imho.
Report scandanavian_haven August 25, 2014 10:45 AM BST
how does that even make sense, if after a long day you fill up a bath full of water and lie in it then you are lying in dirt, if you take a shower the dirt is running off straight down the plug hole, after taking 2 showers a day I am pretty clean
Report Shrewd_dude August 25, 2014 11:48 AM BST
I Imagine most rapists, nonces and murderers have a bath when they get home in the early hours of the morning. Do you put a load on in the washing machine at the same time as well?

Crippen, is it true that you have a bath once a month, whether you need it or not?Laugh
Report Dr Crippen August 25, 2014 3:16 PM BST
Alias, it's worse than that. I rarely take a bath.
Report bigH August 25, 2014 3:48 PM BST
If it's not your bath, it's wrong to take it at any time

I've been in my current place since '95.

Been on my own since 2007.

I can count on one hand how many baths I had in fourteen years which, considering  the fact that there are two bathrooms en-suite,
and one house bathroom, may look somewhat uneconomical!

I just don't see the point in laying in a bath when you can have a two minute invigorating shower,
and then get on with other more important things!

Reading in the bath, or in bed, and having breakfast in bed with the newspaper, is just not my bag!
Report Shrewd_dude August 25, 2014 4:10 PM BST
It's relaxing. Some bubble bath, a book or some good music, a beer or glass of wine and a couple of scented candles.
Report Aunty Post August 25, 2014 4:29 PM BST
Do you know what "Geisha Girls" do when they have had a bath?

Make that 19 years please!

" Some bubble bath"

What is the purpose of that? I thought it was just a kids thing?
Report SlippyBlue August 25, 2014 5:39 PM BST
Same here Aunty P, I would say I've had three baths in the last twelve years or so. My gaff is such that it's not ever an issue to me BUT if someone woke me up at silly o'clock splashing around when I had to get up early for work then very stern words would be had. If it persisted then a visit from my cousin Big Barry "The Biter" Collins would be organised and I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Erm with respect Shrewd_dude admitting you use scented candles whilst bathing is probably something that should be best left unsaid. Shocked

Report Shrewd_dude August 25, 2014 6:00 PM BST
BlushGrin I was only joking about the scented candles and bubble bath. Although if you've been out in the country and been bitten a fair bit aromatherapy oils like lavender or tea tree oil in it are lifesavers (it's okay it's for medicinal purposes).

I was never really a bath person until about a year ago as I always thought they were just a waste of time but really enjoy them now (not in the warm summer though). Should try it.  Next time you're listening to some relaxing tunes, crack open a cold beer and run a bath.
Report SlippyBlue August 25, 2014 6:31 PM BST
The only time I'd have a bath with scented candles burning is if Cameron Diaz was lying opposite and even then she'd have to have the plug end.
Report dewey August 25, 2014 6:46 PM BST
Absolutely not - what you do in your own house is your business surely - providing you're not causing a major disturbance.   Carry on - they're probably oblivious anyway.
