Is this about working out whether you put it in whisky or not?

As was mentioned, it's just attention seeking in the name of charity, same as Movember and all that bollox.

What happened to just donating anonymously? Guess its not 'edgy' enough and famous people don't get the chance to 'nominate' their famous mates. I've now seen "friends" on Facebook doing it without any mention of the charity or donating, it's just become a dare, like that Neknominate palava.

Half the charities these days don't even have volunteers, a lot are paid and they invest in dodgy companies, like the C of E and Comic Relief investing in arms companies, save you with hand, kill you with the other.

So in summary, a load of tod!

it's a bit of fun and aside from the question of donating it's also raising AWARENESS of a horrific disease.  Some people just like to whinge and moan and see the negativity in everything.  Get a life

I dont even know what charity it is so done nothing for my awareness, although i have been subjected to seeing it 5 or 6 times on the telly

I had a good friend who dies from this MND ten years ago and when he was first diagnosed none of us had ever heard of it.  To see the way it had him and the way he wasted away was something that I will never forget.

There's one on Facebook who just did it with cold water.

Started with his mates and a couple of buckets, then went to a bulldozer with the shovel full of water, and for good measure it finished with a telescopic fork lift carrying a skip full of water, which knocked him clean out of his chair.

It seems to have raised a lot of money for charity which is good but these things hit saturation level very quickly and start to become incredibly annoying. Even forgetting Facebook (which is covered in them)  it seems as if every newspaper and TV programme has one on them. On the racing yesterday and no doubt Match of the Day tonight. After the first couple I haven't watched any since and can't help feel that anybody who wants to donate to charity should just do it now and not wait until somebody nominates them before they do so.

Question is whats next as ive seen all these in the last year or so , must be more also
