Not lost, but waiting with the legions of the dead.

See what happens when you search for words with sufficient gravitas to convey in an apposite way the noting of a moment where we pause and consider mortality and our frailty as a species? Sadly, I failed. What we really need is erse to pop in and say:
fart - sniff. |

Sad news, just for a moment though I thought this thread was referring to the bloke from Take That, very disappointing.

Always sad when suicide's involved, as many of us can relate and empathise.

Just watched his last interview. He looked very withdrawn, talking with a tiredness of life in his soul.

That's called depression AG.
By:
How are you coping Crippen?
By:
Well AG, I haven't got a hangover from drinking.
How's yours today? |
By:
How much did you drink? alcohol is a depressant Crippen. It is not a cure for loneliness, does anyone visit you to see how you are?
By:
prob only fellow bnp members

does anyone visit you to see how you are?
Is that your problem AG. Is that why you drink? Tony Broke doesn't seem very happy either. |
By:
I think he's broke as well!
By:
You show all the signs that you are suffering Crippen. Your inner self-loathing is something that you attempt to transfer onto others. We care about you, if only you felt the same about yourself.
It starts with you Crippen. |

you're correct there, doc.

Have just watched dead poet's society, more moving than ever given the circumstances..

I am still in utter shock and feeling very sad for his family (especially) and friends. What was it that drove him 'mad enough' to do this?
By:
Very funny man, loved him in Good Will Hunting and the Awakenings.
RIP |
By:
Brilliantly funny in his early days, remember watching a video in the 90's and laughing so much it hurt. That sort of manic speed of thought usually has a downside. Can't agree about his films, apart from Good Morning Vietnam they were sentimental tripe.
Obviously troubled throughout his life and just couldn't take it anymore. RIP. |
By:
many a good film is sentimental!
By:
Tremendous loss - not too many these days fitting that description.
By:
Yes but none of his.

Bi-Centennial Man was a wonderful film and very sentimental.

A lot of comedians who spend their lifes making others laugh suffer from severe depression and some end up taking their own life. Tony Hancock immediately springs to mind. Spike Milligan never committed suicide but it was constantly on his mind and he was a very unhappy person. It`s a tragic situation when someone is that unhappy, whether famous or unknown, that they take their own life. I`ve witnessed it at first hand on several occasions. Condolences to all suffering such tragic circumstances.
