this is one occasion when the west really should intervene immediately and massively with boots on the ground if necessary

however the reason they see them as legitamate targets is because hamas have stored weapons in these places even fired rockets into israel from them.Obv they thought no way would israel bomb these places. Hamas made these places targets. I dont think israel still should have targeted these places. Lets just hope some kind of long term peace can be arranged for the area, though i think hamas will need to give up or at least end their policy in the total destruction of the Israel state, as i dont think israel would agree to that one.

The numbers of fighters involved in this can be counted in the thousands, its the constant headlines and the extreme savagery from all sides ( Assad , Isis , Israel , Hamas , and yes U.S/UK .
If the Israeli question is settled ( a Palestinian homeland , maybe Israel in its original borders ) it takes away any excuse or legitimacy that groups like Hamas or Isis have to continue. Without that there will always be a reason , Israel need to understand what is at stake here.
If people think that a few airstrikes is going to sort this mess with Isis out they are misguided . A few trillion dollars could not sort out Iraq and Afghanistan out already , it will probably be up To Iran , the Shias in Iraq , Assad , and Hezbollah to take them on , on the ground , but that is an all out sectarian war is it not ?
