Aye, Slippy but it's the satisfaction it would bring his dad for having the bottle to place the bet on his lad when money was perhaps tight - and so long ago - that would bring the ultimate delight to everyone - particularly Rory's dad!

What do you reckon g2d? Garcia never to win a major looks a distinct possibility. He has had some great chances but has always been found wanting.

It never bothered me in the slightest that Montgomerie never did, in fact that pleased me as I dislike like the bloke but I'd like Garcia to win one at least.

I know links courses really need the wind to blow to make it interesting but  in my opinion this course is really not up to it.  Pretty much the whole field has got round without any problems.
