Any of you chaps coming to The Second City for this nonsense? Cant believe
they have introduced games only lanes on some roads, I thought it was only
Russia that did that sort of thing. The east end of Glasgow regularly features
in the list of most deprived areas but I am sure the denizens will be delighted
with a brand new velodrome.

Coming to the SECC for the Judo,the train/tube station nearest is closed, there is no parking at the SECC for the event and no park and ride for this arena, looks like we are walking from the city centre 
No parking? and to think they have built a six storey car park
at the SECC.
No need to walk they appear to be laying on hundreds of shuttle
buses between centre and venues.

A load of p1sh imo and I'll only be more p1ssed off with it all after I have to listen to my dad ranting after he inevitably gets caught in one of those lanes.
My sister in law applied for loads of stuff and got rythmic gymnastics which will bore my nephew to tears. She was desperate to get athletics tickets so I told her to go to the Diamond League meet at Hampden but she wasn't interested as it 'wasn't the Commonwealth'.
It's only a 15 min walk to the SECC. Whatever the arrangements are it won't be worse than getting out of the car park after a gig.

@Sica Dan the multi storey is for bluebadge/easy access ticket holders as are the bookable places on the shuttle buses to SECC

A lot of similarity between this and the Olympics in Newham in 2012.
Lenny Henry please note
there were no cheap rooms in any Premier Inn within 5 miles of Newham when the Olympics were on.
And the much lauded £multimillion Westfield City Shopping Cantre, not far from the Olympic Park, closed its 550 space car park the week before the Olympics started, until it was all over.
Loads of roads were closed to everyday traffic.
And just in case nobody noticed, there were no reported riots in August 2011 in Newham.
I've never seen a Newham resident on the telly stating what good the Olympics did for the borough.

Biscar, city centre to secc is circa 30 minutes walk, this can be cut by getting
62 bus and getting off at finnieston. You might like to consider subway to Kinning
Park then walking down by the BBC and across the Squinty Bridge and you are there.
