I think it would have to be supply and OPERATE. This is massively sophisticated hardware. Radar guided missiles on vehicles.

apparently the yanks can at least confirm it was a missile by satellite detection of vapour from the missile. wonder if they can also discern the direction it came from.

Hard to know what the truth is. But RT is on a loop saying Kiev moved anti aircraft batteries near Donetsk yesterday so obviously the opposite is true.

someone posted something 17 mins after the plane was hit saying that they (whoever they are) had taken out a military antanov military freighter in a approx the same location as the mas 777 was downed

I cannot understand why a civil airliner was being flown in what is effectively a war zone. Save fuel? Surely not, perhaps sheer stupidity on the part of the pilot(s) flight planners or who ever. Was there no radio to inform the crew they were flying into a war zone? It is all rather odd.

On my way to Australia in 2003 coincidently via Kuala Lumpur with Malaysian Airlines, I was a little surprised when the pilot came on the speaker to tell us that we were over Southern Iraq. This was shortly after the Coalition had invaded and Gulf War 2 was in full swing....
