I think from your post Tony your wine is maybe stronger than you think 
I am drinking my own white wine - going down rather well with my own evening meal.
the Di a lama reportedly drinks his "own", probably tastes a lot like the stuff you've been par taking of, Tony.

There are lots of mirabelle plums about this year going for free, but last time I tried doing that my demijohn blew up.
Rhubarb wine is fantastic, much better than anything under a tenner in the supermarkets.
There use to be a wine called 'RED BIDDY"that was the nickname for it(think its real name was Twany wine,if you mixed toothpaste to it and drank the mixture it would blow you brains out,and there would be a beautiful smell of your breath when you would be slobbering to the chicks.
