I concur with the idea of GPs/medics having 'The God Complex' these days and have had a very frustrating and what turned out to be a very injurious episode due to my previous GP who had taken over from the GP I'd had since childhood.
You couldn't find a bigger charleton masquerading as a doctor in the NHS.
I finally binned him when he actually gave me something that WORKED for my condition (undiagnosed for 7 years previously by various idiots at the hospital) when, quite by chance he realised what was wrong after I told him I nearly cancelled my appointment that day as it was a '7 lightshades staggered' kind of day.
Even then he gave me the wrong medication that made me so ill I never went back to him until I ended up in hospital with an unconnected issue and had to see him for follow-up medication.
After about a month he gave me some pills which have been an enormous help - and that's when I sacked him.
He should have recognised, diagnosed and treated the condition correctly 4 years previously.
What a waste of my life.
And what a total waste of time he is.
If things don't 'fit' into their mindset you have little hope of being treated properly, so the blogger's research and experimenting with various vitamins, diet and so on is to be applauded with the results he's achieved.
Look after yourself, if you can, as you're just a number on a doctor's checklist these days to be 'dealt with' as quickly as possible - and ticked off their list.

Many thanks for the words of encouragement, I hope its content does indeed help others or at least persuade them to take their health and treatment into their own hands and not simply hand over their destiny to what I consider to be a drug company controlled health industry.
