Because immigration can be a good thing, an in some cases necessary to establish
a country does not mean it is always so. If we look at America there are huge problems
with legal and illegal immigration. The entire state of California which has been the
worlds leader in science and art in the last century is destroying itself and mass immigration
is destroying it.

Once you invent multi-culturalism  and encourage immigrants to maintain their culture
history shows that no nation can survive the tension.
History also shows that all great nations create suicide.

No AG closing the coal mines was not a NET FISCAL POSITIVE. Foreign competitors were heavily subsidising coal. British coal mining was the most productive and cost effective in the world. Thatcher should have matched foreign subsidy were needed rather than put hundreds of thousands on the dole and welfare dependent and create generations of a new underclass. How much does putting hundreds of thousand on benefits for life, and their children, and their childrens children cost the taxpayer.

Though British coal mining was superior the Germans, French, Poles etc still have their industries, are still being heavily subsidised, and employ hundreds of thousands. Ours was destroyed and we pay former employees benefits.
