Looks hard, as you'd expect.
£2,300,000 in the pot at the moment, will probably grow to over £3 million by race 1.

2-05 Sandown - Keltus
2-20 Haydock - Sir Reginald
2-50 Ripon - Barkston Ash
3-25 Haydock - Yourartisonfire
3-30 Ripon - Bayan
3-50 Sandown - Burton Port

Odds on it being landed at the moment on here are:
Yes - 1.8
No - 2.12

Betfair market goes in play when race 1 goes off, closes when last race goes off.

This time tomorrow, I'll be a mill-yun-air.

Report tictacman1 May 25, 2014 3:34 PM BST
Betfred, which operates the Scoop6 after its purchase of the Tote, has also located an as-yet unnamed man who invested the minimum £2 in one of its shops and holds one of the eight tickets worth £1,342,599.

The credit controller was similarly a £2 punter and placed his bet in a Paddy Power branch on the King's Road in the capital.

He wishes to remain anonymous but is reported by the firm to be 58 and originally from Dundee.

Saturday's Scoop6 had amassed huge proportions after rolling over through 12 weeks and victory for the Alan King-trained Chatez in the Betfred Mobile Casino Silver Bowl Stakes at Haydock sparked celebrations, with 122 tickets still standing going into the final leg.

Each winning ticket is eligible to play for the bonus fund next Saturday, which stands at a further £5,481,763.

After checking the result from leg four, the Betfred Mind Blowing Scoop6 Today EBF Stallions Stakes, the credit controller could not find his selection, March, in the results.

But that filly had been withdrawn and the bet switched to the unnamed favourite, the successful Joyeuse.

The 58-year-old told Paddy Power: "Obviously I didn't expect too much from the Scoop6 and looking at that result I thought I'd lost but then I checked and I was absolutely delirious when I'd won."

The other tickets are held by a £6 punter from a Ladbrokes shop in Dublin, two who invest high stakes via the betting exchange Betfair, and three syndicates.

Last weekend, Ladbrokes punter Joe McGuire came within a length and a quarter of claiming just short of £7million for his £8 stake when denied in the last race of six in the bet at Catterick.

A wheelie bin cleaner from Nottinghamshire has become one of Britain's biggest betting-shop winners.

Craig Brazier, 39, from Mansfield, won more than £1.3m on an accumulator bet after he staked £2 and predicted six horses to win selected races in the UK.

He has vowed to carry on cleaning bins, but hopes to buy a five-bedroom home and take his partner Tracy and children on a Disney holiday in Florida.

Mr Brazier was one of eight winners to get a share of more than £10m.

'Could not breathe'

I was jumping round the living room and dropped to my knees in shock when the horse won”
End Quote
Craig Brazier
The Scoop6 is a national competition in which people try to predict the winners of six races in a row. If no-one wins, the pot rolls over to the next week.

Mr Brazier had his fortune riding on Chatez at Haydock on Saturday.

The father of two said he placed the bet because he had £2 left in his pocket after buying fishing bait on Saturday.

"It's the best two quid I have ever spent," Mr Brazier said.

"Tracy was dozing off on the sofa and even though I was into the last leg with five winners already, she said, 'you're not lucky enough to win that'... I woke her up watching the last race screaming, 'he's won it'.

"I was jumping round the living room and dropped to my knees in shock when the horse won.

"I could not breathe when I realised I won the money... I just cannot believe how big this is."

Mr Brazier said his winnings of £1,342,599 would go towards a new house and a family holiday but he would not be giving up his job.

And Mr Brazier could be in for more good news at the weekend when a bonus race could win him another £5m.

His job won't last after the next monthly payday (nap)
Report Tommy Toes May 31, 2014 12:35 PM BST
Well after seeing Mr Brazier on The Morning Line this morning talking about his win, I've changed my mind and wouldn't be surprised at all if he does carry on bin cleaning.

He said: "I'll be going back to the bins, it gets me out of the house working in the fresh air. I love my job and the people I work with/for."

He also said that £1.3 million wouldn't last all that long if he went mad with it - especially as he's only 39.
Which, when you think about, it is probably true.

He seemed a very down-to-earth bloke and not the type who'd ever have any ambitions of owning his own business, so if you consider a decent house would swallow up at least half of his winnings if paid for outright - he's probably thinking very sensibly about his life and that of his nearest and dearest and what he could provide for them in the future - as well as having an easier life for himself as he continues working.

Of course, if he wins the extra £5 million bonus pot today on his own out of the 8 tickets, he may have to reconsider.

Hope he wins it!
Report TheCoat May 31, 2014 12:46 PM BST

Not a bit of regret shown (he said he'd backed Top Boy on the AW in the past and couldn't have it at all), was delighted for the winners - and still seems as happy as a pig in muck (after quaffing several gallons of something!)

Good on him.
Report tictacman1 May 31, 2014 6:05 PM BST
Top Boy's success meant well-known large-stakes punter Bernard Marantelli was celebrating, having picked the winning horse, although he had made private arrangements with two of last week's other winners - who made other selections in the race - to share the £5.48million dividend between themselves.

Australian-born Marantelli, the founder of the Colossus Bets website and a previous winner of the Scoop6, had said his team were not in profit on the bet despite winning last weekend after the succession of rollovers.

But the situation changed after Top Boy's win and he said: "We're in front now! We tried to get everyone together and take home around £700,000 each by working together, but that proved too tricky to do.

"We had three tickets represented, there's different fragments in there, and a lot of very happy people today."

For Brazier, meanwhile, it was still a time for celebrating. "The wife's already had a good time at Meadowhall [Shopping Centre] and it's been a brilliant experience for all of us. I've no regrets."

Small staking punters share big Scoop6 payout

BY PAUL EACOTT 4:30PM 20 DEC 2014

"A TRIO of ticket holders shared Saturday's totescoop6 after selecting Pricewise pick Bayan to win the final leg at Ascot.

Each of the three collected £103,316 and they will have the chance to pocket an extra £204,240 in the bonus race next weekend.

Early indications suggest the three winners are all small staking internet clients, one of who  invested just £4 via Betfair.

Totepool spokesman Andrew Griffiths said: "What a Christmas it's going to be for the three winners with £100,000 in the bank. We're absolutely delighted for them and we hope that they enjoy their win."

A total of £292,702 was bet into the pools and there were 4,324 winners of the place fund, which returned £11.80."

Well done that Betfair punter!

Hope you win the bonus race next Saturday.
