Clouseau... an excellent album, not least the title track. Remember watching an interview with Graham Nash recounting the time Joni turned up at Crosby's place in Laurel Canyon and played some of her songs.The general feeling was that she had written some of the best songs they had heard. Of course, whilst there, Nash(amongst others) gave her a right sorting out.

Regarding the Etam reference, can I go with slimmer please  After your reference of " I'll see your Milburn" [etc], I can't help thinking how similar Joe Carnall (Milburn) and Jon Mclure (The Rev) sound vocally . Whaddaya think? Roger De Bris Bill Coleman - I Want You To Know. Really enjoyed that but via your post I found the song "Bound" (at the same gig). WOW! I too stumbled across the film 'Once' the other night and thought 'what a cracking little film' by the end of it.
The music in the film is great too - especially the song linked by Fishy. It's heartening to know the song won an Oscar. If the film is still on an iplayer anywhere, I recommend a viewing of it. |
