Just beaten Ding 9-3 to win the Welsh Open.

A very overused word in sport.

But not with him.

Got to be in with a chance of SPOTY if he finds a personality.

Would have missed it myself but while watching the golf Sky decided to have their 4564564574577 break, so I switched over and caught the last 12 reds..

Just watched it, remarkable finish, that last red screw back to perfection left handed and even playing the last black left handedLaugh..the man is a genius and he was loving it.
Report Ibrahima Sonko • March 2, 2014 10:11 PM GMT
we are very lucky, we have never seen a better snooker player or 3 better tennis players in history.
Report wit-ham • March 2, 2014 10:23 PM GMT
and Andy Murray don't forget
Report minardi • March 2, 2014 10:24 PM GMT
I remeber when he was just 16 and was qualifying won something like his first 59 matches ... a year latter he wasnt doing so well and had a £10 on him to win the UK at 33-1 which he did ... i won a weeks wages ... followed him ever since and find him un nerving he is brilliant and a genius but you get the feeling he tolerates humans .. just and one false move could result in him going quite mad ... so although he is the best ever i can't warm to him at all ... he reminds of the devil ..

Here he is in 1991 winning the Junior Pot Black Final http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2UP7VOdNR80

I never seen anyone make the game of snooker look so ridiculously easy.
Report Angel Gabrial • March 2, 2014 11:07 PM GMT
What frustrates him or use to frustrate him was playing players who stifled the art of the game, he struggled to tolerate players who didn`t have a similar approach to him. He has always taken his talent for granted and can`t understand why other players can`t do what he does. That is normal for a genius.
Report minardi • March 2, 2014 11:16 PM GMT
cdog - a good vidoe - really shouldnt have been playing in that - what ever happened to the young lad - Declan Murphy ? probably just got a normal job.
Report mesmerised • March 2, 2014 11:27 PM GMT
Snooker is a real skill to master, it's Cycling that is not a sport.
Report treble • March 3, 2014 1:17 AM GMT
Matthew Stevens in there as well. Another player who underachieved imo. Could have been a world champion.
Report The Bhoys • March 3, 2014 8:01 PM GMT
The man is an absoloute genius
