Withnail and I. The scene when they are in bed and think that Jake (Michael Elphick) is climbing up the stairs with an axe. Instead it's uncle monty. Great film.

William Shatner in Airplane 2. Appears to be on a futuristic, wall-mounted video screen, until he reaches down, turns a door handle and walks out.

the recent one in wolf of wall street where the drugs finally kick in at the golf club - a good ten minutes of non-stop laughter for me when I first saw it

One that appeals to my childish sense of humour is the bit in Ace Ventura when he is the nuthouse. The bubble wrap cracks me up

High Anxiety I laugh thinking about the scene where Mel Brooks pretends to be a vampire to scare the psychiatric patient while being assessed by another doctor. Classic!

The scene where they tie the horse downstairs to a cabinet upstairs and throw the cabinet out of the window and the horse goes up as the cabinet falls down.

Childish me .... but f arting scene in Blazing Saddles round the camp fire got to be right up there. Also, the Laurel & Hardy film where they go door to door in June selling Christmas trees. They systematically smash up Jimmy Finlayson's house while he just as systematically wrecks their car. Not sure if this counts as a film, but may I put forward The Four Yorkshiremen sketch with John Cleese, Rowan Atkinson, Terry Jones and Michael Palin. First time I saw that, I was doubled over and it hurt to laugh.

Very good, wit-ham. Thanks for the link. Interesting to compare the two. Some minor variations in the dialogue and timing quite different in places, but it still works for me.
