Yes, it was a thriller. The dark one only just got procrastination out. A sickener for the 2 contestants.

That was the 500th edition, today.

It was definitely a short head decision. I actually thought The Chaser, who was Shaun, timed out and they should have got the £60 grand to share.

Yes, it was confusing,I thought they'd won.

time point 0
Turned it on.
time point 2 seconds
Was repulsed by a bloke with wing nut ears and the largest adams apple I have ever seen
time point 2.000001 seconds
Switched it off

When: 15 Feb 14 10:54
thought Shaun was timed out but it was really split-second, could not have been any closer, diabolical bad luck on the 2 contestants especially with £60,000  in the pot.

Completely stage managed ! How the guy got home in the 55k cash builder beggared belief as well !!

Did anybody record it?
Needs to be inspected in slow motion.
I also thought they had nicked it on the line.

Shaun's definitely the poorest of the four chasers IMO.
By:

When: 15 Feb 14 17:16
He's the one you'd want to be up against in the final chase. The poorest by far at that stage, but he's usually quite strong in the individual chases. The Sinnerman is probably the weakest in the multiple choice (although he is very hot n cold).

Not happy with this guy taking the minus offer tonight Angry

He did answer most of the final questions at the end tho'.

They've won!

Could have been 18k between them rather than 9.

The bald headed guy was a wind up merchant ! Claimed to know nothing about reality TV and then proceeded to answer three or four questions about it including one of the crucial pushbacks !

I only saw the 1st 20 minutes but why oh why did the black woman take the middle offer of £2k instead of the lower offer of £1k - if you only get £2k on your cashbuilder then I wouldn't hesitate to take -£1k never mind only one grand less than your cashbuilder

Anyone watch it tonight? Sad

They're repeats at the moment, btw.

Yes Laugh

I'm not sorry he didn't win any money. Taking the minus 9k Angry

Was gutted for the other two.
By:
Hound-Dog-2
When: 21 Feb 14 19:48
^ as a tactical move it almost paid off taking the minus 9k, because he was very useful to them in the final chase and they were only 1 second away from 42k between them, and the other 2 wouldn't have got so close without him.

I may be hard of hearing, but I think Shaun Wallace got very lucky yesterday.

I'm sure one of the Qs was 'Wilfred Owen wrote poetry about which war?

I'm sure Bradley asked 'Which war?' and not 'Which World War?'

The Chaser answered 'First' and Bradley accepted it.

If he DID ask 'Which war?' the answer is NOT 'First', the answer is 'The First World War' or 'World War One.'

He saved precious time with that dubious answer, and he only won by one second, doing them out of £42k.

I may complain to ITV, I'm like that...

I didn't notice the answer to the war question but you do have a good point.

Are you going to contact the programme?

I thought they were but I may have been wrong about that.

Just had a google to see if I can find out and came across this

See Silva's comment.

I reckon the contestants were robbed of their 42k

Looks like they were showing repeats last week, going my another of those comments.

It said 'R' in last week's Radio Times but doesn't have that in this week's edition.

Must be new ones this week. I'm confused Confused

to be fair to Shaun, Bradley took about 5 seconds trying to get the last question out !  But yes his 1st answer to the war question was 1st but IIRC he carried on answering after Bradley had said correct

I said my hearing was bad.
I never heard him say 'kerracotta' as I was answering 'terracotta' myself.

Yes i noticed the Wilfred Owen answer of `first` by Shaun.
Bradley should have at least prompted him to elaborate.

Also the comments by Jon H of Sheffield on the tvguide webpage about 'procrastination' being garbled are indeed correct! Cost the contestants 60k that garbled answer.

^ he was up against a very good team of 4 and needed to get in a rhythm and go through the questions quickly but kept coming unstuck, the team did come up with a couple of good answers on the pushbacks but it was never going right for The Chaser. love that programme.
