Yes, had my juicer a while now, a pint of goodness does make you feel good, especially first thing in the morning.

i bought an oscar  a few years ago.

At the time was 95 kilos
All i did was stop eating buscuits and replaced lunch with a juice , and within a couple of months i was down to 85 kilos

Now i only have a juice a couple of times a week but have stabalised at 82 kilos and never put it back on.
Blood pressure hasgone from 150 down to 120 and feel much better

Carrot and Apple is a good start as a base.

My big problem with juicing is cleaning the blooming thing (nightmare).

The oscar http://www.oscarjuicers.co.nz  very good , takes literally a few seconds to clean

My main juice was normally three carrots and an apple , grapes good to add, anything really.
If you not worried what they taste like then brocolli and other green veg gave to be very
healthy , but they not that tasty, i have to hold my nose and knock em back. Treat it like medicine.
The carrot and apple one tastes ok though

^ Agreed

Carrots and apples are nearly always in there Happy

When I add lemon, I stick them in whole (they are unwaxed ones), there's more vitamin c in the peel!

I also add chocolate whey protein sometimes.

you don't want it to be tasty that means there's too much flavourings/sugars,

At the same time i started the juice diet , i stopped eating any refined foods containing sugar.
It made me ill for a few dys , apparantly its normal , sugar is like a drug and withdrawel can cause
physical symptoms for up to a week.
However after that everything starts tasting better.
Peas for example taste really nice and sweet if you never eat sugar

Celery and fresh root ginger are good additions too.

You're far better off eating the fruit and veg than juicing them. The juicing process removes the fibre although the macro and micronutrients still remain.

If you want to lose weight you'd be better off eating these food as you get far more satiety by eating them whole than consuming them in a liquid form.

Also try and keep the fruits to a minimum as they can be quite calorie dense, if you have to juice then try and use just veg.

I would say this only benefits people who have an unhealthy to moderate diet. It's better to substitute your unhealthy lunch with a veg drink but it's optimal to eat your veggies rather than drink them.

the fibre is v.important. Also helps slows down the digestion so the organs are not hit directly with the juice, putting less stress on the organs.

I got mine three years, or more, ago.

Like all things American it is not small, but it is fantastic!

There seriously isn't a drop of juice left in the fibre and here is the testament to that.....

Always put root ginger in, also taraggon if you like anise flavour.
Sweet potatoes give a nice creamy sweet flavour also

I thought the maxim was to eat your fruit and drink your veg.

AP:I have the Jack LaLanne, Ive also had it a number of years and I find it a nightmare. It was always a massive messy job peeling and cleaning and Id get it everywhere and its an arse to clean.

I used to do loads at once and fill big tubs and leave in fridge, no way would I use it daily and have to clean that, but after a while the juice in the fridge had a head on it and put me right off.
I used to do oranges melons (that were like water the amount you get out of em) lemons and pinapples.

Has anyone ever tried beetroot?
I cant imagine youd get much out of em and that is why its 2-3 quid a carton in the supermarkets.

The juicer I've got (nutribullet) you can do it in, it's like a combination of juicer and blender, plus theres no wastage or pulp as its called in the book ive got

that's true mate, you can have a horrible tasting (but healthy) drink but put some ginger in and all you can taste is the ginger

No point doing a lot and putting it in the fridge as most of beneficial effects of juices will dissipate minutes after its made.

Ive just been in the kitchen liam to see what wattage my kenwood blender is and its upto 900 watts, that bullet thing is just a blender but using a selling factor of just 600 watts
Im pretty sure everyone has a blender in their kitchen thats as strong or stronger than that.
Its just another product trying to get ppl to spend money on it imo

obv its a product trying to get ppl to buy it, I mean its just a blender, nowt special, no doubt attempting to be sold to ppl with existing blenders as a 'fruit drink blender'

thinking about it my kenwood has that same detachable blade (among others) and has a nut cruncher mill the same shape as theat bullet
I might give it a go juicing, I rarely used it for that.....infact I cant remember what the hell I did buy it for
