all the wasted police time on this while gangs roam the streets abusing young women - no wonder while they pursue these celebrity cases (which they love)- but chasing groups of our 'friends' is politically and socially unacceptable - coz they don't want to upset the community - there is such a stench of hypocracy and victimisation going on - the police desperately trying to show they are doing something - who will be accused next

something not right about this from the start, case got dropped the first time, then opened again after a review of the evidence, and now he is completely cleared of all charges, if her story was so incoherent and inconsistent then why was it brought back to court with no evidence to support her claims ? mother and daughter should be ashamed if they made all this up, and his life is still ruined by an unbelievable story.

before you invite kev round for tea theres all the difference in the world between someone being innocent and not enough evidence to find someone guilty,the way people on here are talking every case the cps takes to court should result in a conviction

Who knows. The courts system is not infallible. He is probably innocent although you can never be completely sure. There will still be an air of doubt. This is the problem with these types of trials, the 'victim' who for some reason still cannot be named, even though the court has decided she is not a victim, is basically free to continue her life without the burden of this, whereas he will be tagged with it now.

A lad who was on Emmerdale got sacked after being arrested for rape, i'm sure all charges were dropped but I've never seen him on telly again. |

The reason the case should never have gone to court is because it was clear there was no evidence. Of course you can't expect the CPS to get a conviction with every case but do you expect them to have a case.
