Chit Chat stalwarts Lenny Henry and Russell Howard will be along shortly, but I'd like to nominate Andy Parsons. I bet there's been more amusing autopsy's than one of his gigs.

Report HRH The Lager Khan August 23, 2013 11:53 PM BST
I like Sean Lock, but he is guilty of the Jimmy Carr tell a gag and look to the audience until they laugh routine rather too often.

No he's just a grumpy young...ish man
Report Fabulous August 24, 2013 12:13 AM BST
Andy Parons is a good shout, i'd also add

Jeff Dunham - being a ventriloquist, and not even a very good one at that, not sure he really counts, but he's sh1te anyway, so worthy of a mention. His success is a complete mystery.

Peter Kay - he's got away with murder, off the back of an hours worth of material that's nearly 15 years old. Should have got the jail for Max and Paddy. Which leads me on to.......

Paddy F'cking McGuiness - Abysmal, f'cking abysaml

Greg Davies - Watching him flounder as the audience inevitably loses interest during every one of his stand up shows, is actually quite painful.

Report Clungehungry August 24, 2013 12:24 AM BST
Andy Parsons has 'unfunny bones', his material is OK, it just sounds like he's trying to be a cockernee and it's offputting.

Peter Kay was pretty good. But it's observational stuff, and that runs dry when you stop...observing stuff. I could live with Max and Paddy but that X Factor piss take didn't work.

Paddy McGuiness I don't think is a comedian. He's vaguely likable, in a Northern way. Like Vernon Kay.

Greg Davies is already. If you don't like him why attend all his stand-up shows? He's one of relatively few successful stand-ups, actors.

Sean Lock is at his best when he loses it. Reminds me a bit of Bill Bailey when he was asked a question about 'Loose Women' and replied "I can't STAND THOSE BITCHES'. a sentiment I think we've all had.

I`m not too bad now G2D, thanks, but have not been very well recently.

Being doing ok at the Baseball mate and been investing winnings on the 49ers for SB. Bet them @ 100/1 2 years ago and they should have won and last year too. Beat themselves on both occasions. Should have laid off on both occasions but was very confident and got greedy. No mistakes this year and If they don`t win this time I`ll be gobsmacked Whoops

Thanks for the film recommendations. I shall buy them now, knowing what a good judge you are. Happy

I`ve been watching my Kurosawa collection again this week and really enjoyed them!

You take care and good luck with the nags later today!

Good night

Rape allegation

In July 1994, Charles and a friend were arrested and remanded in custody for several months on a rape charge.[33] While in prison, Charles was attacked by a man wielding a knife.[34] In March 1995, both men were acquitted in their trial. After being cleared, Charles spoke of the need to restore anonymity for those accused of rape. He stated that "the fact that my name and address along with my picture can appear on the front of the papers before the so-called 'victim' has even signed a statement proves that anonymity for rape defendants is a must and that the law must be changed."[35]

Billy Connolly.

The law of averages dictate that people are funny from time to time . Your dear old aunty might cough and fart inadvertently after xmas dinner , a friend may get their words mixed up , a total stranger might fall off a child's swing whilst showing off to their kids. These are people who aren't trying to be funny. BC presumably considers his material ahead of performing it time after time. He consistently defies the law of comedy averages - he's not been funny for 35 years.

Was stuck on a bus with his dvd on it . Kept bangaing on about the fair coming to town and the lion keeper putting his head in the mouth of the lion. " his fooking heeeead , he put his fooking heeeead in its mouth"  -  so what.

The sad thing is he knows it
