They don't bundle it with new PCs like they used to, haven't for years.

I paid about 70 quid for the student edition, if you're using it for owt that matters, I'd shell out.

Some Microsoft office student editions can be loaded on up to 3 PC's, ask your fellow students for their disk and give them say £20.

you nay be able to get open office to work in you save it as the appropriate file type. obviously without testing it on word its a bit awkward.
