Match abandoned at 73 mins ?

fwiw I think you can pay out on events that have happened first tryscorer,first scoring play etc.

However given the match hasn't run its course and there is the possibility of more points I don't think you can settle on winning margins imho.

It's the same in football matches that are abandoned early they pay out on first goalscorer but not the result

Ladbrokes Rules -
If a match is abandoned before 80 minutes are played, all bets on that match are void, except for those markets which have been unconditionally determined. First try scorer bets will stand if a try has been scored at the time the match is abandoned.

If you don't like the rules don't bet with them

Seriously, how can you expect to get paid out on a winning margin when the game was never completed?

What do you think they should do then, refund all bets that were outside the margin at 73 minutes and pay all those that were?

You're having a laugh and I for one would not support that 'campaign' as the rules clearly state what wil happen in that eventuality.
IBAS would throw that appeal out in a milli second.

The thing is Ladbrokes are saying on Twitter that they have paid out on Wakefield winning and voided all Castleford bets so those bets were refunded . They are still refusing to pay out on winning margin bets as it stands even though they have paid my brother out in the shops . The offical RFL result is Castleford 16 Wakefield 37 .

Another point is that their General Betting Rules re Abandoned Matches is as follows :-
Abandoned matches
If a match is abandoned before Full Time* has been played, bets on the match outcome will be void, unless an official result is declared. Bets on all markets which have been unconditionally determined will stand, for example in American Football, First Touchdown Scorer bets will stand if a touchdown has been scored. Full time is determined by the rules of the specific sport, please refer to any special rules or terms in relation to that sport.

Now it's the last sentance that's the crunch point "Full time is determined by the rules of the specific sport , please refer to any special rules or terms in relation to that sport"
Now at no point does it state Ladbrokes rules for the specific sport it just says the rules of the specific sport and the RLF are the governing body for this specific sport and their rules state :-

Section B2: Match Day Rules

ABANDONMENT OF MATCHES – RESULT, ADMISSION, DIVISION OF PROCEEDS

B2:1 It shall be up to the Match Commissioner (or Referee where a Match Commissioner is not appointed) to determine as to whether or not a League Match should be abandoned. However:
a.if a League Match is abandoned, the Board will determine whether the result shall stand. If it does not stand the Match will be re-scheduled as directed by the Board. The decision of the Board in relation to such matters shall be final;

The RFL have confirmed that the match result was Castleford 16 - Wakefield 37 .

It also states in Ladbrokes specific rules on Rugby League and Union :-

Unless otherwise stated all rugby bets are settled on 80 minutes play, which includes any injury time added on by the referee.
I then go back to my original point that it is otherwise stated in the abandonment rules which state "Full time is determined by the rules of the specific sport" IE RFL rules not Ladbrokes rules

Just to add , William Hills have paid out on winning margins as well as Paddy Power . Ladbrokes shops have also paid out outright and winning margins and they also have the results online stating that Wakefield winning margins 13+ and 21-26 are winners .

Just to let you all know Ladbrokes have now paid me out on my Wakefield margins bets . After a long slog trying to be reasonable with them i decided to use the power of social media / Twitter to shame them into it and it really does work . I'm sure Ladbrokes will now have to change some of their rules after i pointed out a few discrepancies .

Had £75 on Wakefield to win by 13+ @ 5/1 and £10 on 21-25 Winning margin @ 28/1 . Well worth sticking it out and a nice bit of spend for my holidays next week although only just under haf of the money is mine the rest of it being my brothers , after adding it to the other bets we'd already collected from several other bookies it came to just short of £2K between us . Happy days .
