Would have been a great achievement 30 years ago & though many of the top clubs in the premiership hold the comp in some disdain I think you may well wait another 30 years to see fourth tier club reach another Wembley final.

If my memory serves me right Bradford as a 4th Div club reached the QF of the FA cup in 1976 before losing to the eventual winners Soton.

bad experience a couple of seasons ago Kenny. A friend took me for a day out as I had not been to a game in a while, was expecting an easy victory as Bradford were struggling to field a full team. Got in the ground and paid for food and drinks and it was mysteriously called off 30 mins before kick-off. To rub salt it when it was replayed Bradford fans were let in for half price and we had already paid full for ours, never went to the replay as it was midweek and my friend couldn't get.

I was generalising Kenny not talking about Bradford's opponents.
Probably did not make myself that clear, what I was trying to say is the top division is on a different planet compared to lower league teams these days so though many premier teams do not put out a first team I was trying to say Bradford's achievement is probably comparable to a 4th tier side reaching a Wembley final say around 30 years ago. |

I remember watching it on MOTD Kenny & how unlucky Bradford were not to at least get a replay, then Soton draw Palace in the semi's,could have happened in 76 with a little bit more luck, still what goes around comes around

do yoo remember the free kick pumpy? Ball was flicked up (didn't travel any distance on the ground) and was volleyed home. Illegal imo.

nothing against the fans Kenny, been there a couple of times in the FA Cup and was always made very welcome. We actually nearly knocked you out when we were in the non-league, I think it was Ormondroyd scored a 90th minute goal and we lost 4-3
