all those 12 men left bags of organic waste [sh1t], the americans have tried recently to get international agreements with both china and india, to have their respective landing sites kept as historic sites and left undisturbed.

the yanks atleast credit them with the ambition to land a man on the moon, but the yanks want their 'sh1t' back, they wanna see how 40+ years of living on the moon has mutated the bacteria.

Are (is?) the forum interested in the computers that were used to get men to the moon? They were DEC PDP 11s, and if you like I can tell you all about their insides and operating system and programming languages and device drivers and lots of other things.

PDP 11s would have been ground based - and I thought they were a bit later. There's stuff about the onboard Apollo Guidance Computer on Wikipedia. There's also a "Moon machines" Discovery channel programme about them - which is quite good, and there's a free e-book called "Computers in Spaceflight" which will frazzle your brain, if you don't die of boredom first.
