Bum gardener a shocking omission. Whether your first name is felix or randy, either way it is a ridiculous name. And all this jumping out of balloons wont make the slightest bit of difference. Why wernt more people s****ing, including tv presenters, everytime his name was mentioned?

Know somebody called onions.
He insists (to the point of arguing) that his name is pronounced un-eye-ons Anyone who pronounces it onions is quickly reprimanded. (no it's not me!!) Worked for a company where the receptionist was called Leatherbottom - she was a bit of a cow. |

I once met a lawyer in Birmingham with the name of Prat.
As he charged about £250 an hour for anything he did (18 years ago) - I reckon he was very well named. I also used to go to middle school with a girl named Lynn Onions. When we moved to senior school and all the teachers were doing a register of the new kids in each class, a southern woman teacher called her name out as "Oh niy ons". Everyone was baffled and no one answered "here". "Come on, come on!" screeched the teacher "I know Lynn Oh niy ons must be here as the required number are present" It gradually dawned on Lynn that she was must be the 'Oh niy ons' in question - and said "here" - her face the colour of a beetroot, such was the embarrassment. "Don't be so impudent in future!" came the ridiculous remark from the teacher. I've never forgotten it - and how wrong that teacher was. Lynn was a cracking lass and no one had ever taken the mick out of her name before. She was Lynn Onions. That was that. All of a sudden, this idiotic teacher was pronouncing it in an incorrect way - and blaming Lynn for not replying to something so unusual to the ears no one had a clue who she was referring to. Of course, after that, poor old Lynn was ribbed mercilessly about her name with all the new people at the new school. What a ratbag of a teacher. |

Peter Gotobed was one of "the bug boys" at Sunday School.
His dad was a pastor and we always sat on the back row. He had the first "flick knife" that I ever saw, and we would mess around with it, whilst his dad was spouting religious nonsense! We got chucked out more than once! |

Had a boss once whose surname was Onions, and he pronounced it O'Nions, so the teacher's mistake wasn't all that dumb, although it was a bit off to be rude.
There were quite a few people of Polish descent at my school who pronounced their surnames completely wrong. The Yanks also get it wrong quite often, insisting on pronouncing their ws as ws and not vs, the impudent b*stards. |
