Error in geography
During the scene in the Mobile Airport Control Tower, you see a British Airways tail fin taxi past while they are being shot at. British Airways do not serve Mobile, Alabama

But when a bomb goes off in a subway station right by the Federal Reserve (the biggest gold storage in the world) things start to get heated up
Goof
The guard who was cut in half is seen again, standing next to Simon, when McClane asks for the medicine.

Revealing mistakes
Obvious stunt double when Frazier and Russell fall down the stairs. Frazier has a shaved head while the stunt man has a full head of hair.

HEAT (1995)

When Sonny rides the horse out of Caesars Palace and up the Las Vegas strip past neighbouring hotels, he passes at least one casino (famous Vegas Vic cowboy sign outside of Pioneer Club) that is miles away in downtown Las Vegas.

Bud White smashes Ellis Loew's face into his bathroom mirror, twice, and you can hear the glass breaking. If you look at the mirror, however, it is completely intact.

HAROLD & KUMAR GET THE MUNCHIES (2004)

When Captain Willard first meets Colonel Kilgore, they exchange salutes while they are still in a combat zone. It is usually military protocol not to salute in a combat zone. Saluting would show a possible sniper who the commanding officer is. (e.g. in Forrest Gump Lt. Dan correctly instructed Gump and Bubba not to salute him in the field)

RUSH HOUR 3 (2007)

Dwayne's grandfather Edwin was sent away from the institution for elders Sunset Manor and is addicted to heroin. When Sheryl is driving Frank back from the hospital, he is wearing a white t-shirt; when they arrive at the house, he's wearing a white button-up shirt.

ON DEADLY GROUND (1994)

Forrest Taft is an environmental agent who works for the Aegis Oil Company in Alaska. Aegis Oil's corrupt CEO, Michael Jennings, is the kind of person who doesn't care whether or not oil spills into the ocean or onto the land, just as long as it's making money for him. He even makes commercials that make him look like he cares about the environment. Jennings is almost finished with building his new state-of-the art oil rig: AEGIS-1. The problem is that if he doesn't finish building the rig in thirteen days, the land rights will be returned to the Eskimos and the Alaskan government. When Jennings finds out that Taft's best friend Hugh Palmer has a computer disk that contains information about defective equipment on AEGIS-1, he sends out his goons to murder Palmer. When Taft tries to interfere, Jennings tries to kill Taft. But an Eskimo woman named Masu, who introduces Taft to her father Silook, the chief of her tribe, rescues Taft.

Chris meets a group of five friends, who intended to camp in the forest, and they decide to leave the couple Francine and Evan on the place, while Chris, Jessie, Carly and her fiancé Scott tries to find some help. They find a weird cabin in the middle of nowhere, where three violent cannibalistic mountain men with the appearance of monsters live. The two couples try to escape from the mountain men while chased by them.
Continuity
As the group is walking down the path, the flower appears on Scott's necklace before Carly picks it and puts it there.

BABYLON A.D. (2008)

On their journey, Toorop discovers that Aurora has special abilities and once in New York, they see on the news that the Noelite Convent has just been bombed. When Aurora discloses that she is a virgin and pregnant with twins, Toorop realizes that there is something sinister behind his mission and that he and Sister Rebeka are not part of Gorsky's plans.
Goof
In the scene where the main characters are walking on the ice and snow of the Bering Strait to meet a submarine, the actors' breath is not visible when they talk and exhale.

Murrow's cigarette grows longer (while the ash gets shorter) during the meeting where Paley reschedules his show to Sundays.

GROSSE POINT BLANK  (1997)

Hot on his tail are a couple of over-enthusiastic federal agents, another assassin who wants to kill him, and Grocer, an assassin who wants him to join an "Assassin's Union."
Errors in geography
When Martin is in the car with Mr. Newberry, palm trees are clearly visible in the background. There are no palm trees in Detroit.

Dean Pereira and Cindy Heller Pereira are a young, working class married couple - Dean currently working as a painter, and Cindy working as a nurse in a medical clinic - with a young daughter named Frankie. Despite their relatively tender ages, they are both ravaged by the life they've eked out together and by the experiences they've had leading into their marriage. Dean, a high school drop out, comes from a broken home, where he never really had a mother figure. He never saw himself getting married or having a family despite falling in love at first sight with Cindy. He doesn't have any professional ambition beyond his current work - which he enjoys since he feels he can knock off a beer at 8 o'clock in the morning without it affecting his work - although Cindy believes he has so much more potential in life. Cindy also comes from a dysfunctional family, with her own mother and father not setting an example of a harmonious married or family life.
Continuity error
At the end of the movie when Dean and Cindy are fighting at her dad's house it is clear outside when they enter and leave the house, but pouring rain is seen through the back window.

Continuity error
When Mark Darcy goes to pick up Bridget's diary from the table (just after Bridget goes off to her bedroom to change into her 'genuinely tiny knickers'), the diary is on the 29th November. The next shot, of him actually picking up the book, shows it to be open on the 10th/11th November.

Jake LaMotta is portrayed deliberately throwing a fight against the "still undefeated" Billy Fox in November 1947. Fox had actually lost one professional match only a few months before in February 1947, against Gus Lesnevich (by TKO at 10th round).

Trivia
Gervais insisted that 'Louis C.K' shave off his goatee because he needed to look like a caveman for the opening scene. C.K. was very reluctant but he eventually shaved it off. The cavemen scene was filmed but it was deleted from the final cut.

The Einsatzkommondos of the SS always wore field grey Waffen-SS uniforms, not the black parade jacket with swastika armband as depicted in the film.

In the scene where Wells asks Cooper to knock him out, Kevin McKidd (Cooper) throws a stage punch the first time, but misjudges the distance of the second and catches Sean Pertwee (Wells) on the nose. Pertwee didn't feel the punch however as he really was drunk for that scene.

So he instructs them to get local PD'S to take care of it. And one of the cops they ask is John McClane who is tasked with bringing a hacker named Farrell to the FBI. But as soon as he gets there someone starts shooting at them. McClane manages to get them out but they're still being pursued. And it's just when McClane arrives in Washington that the whole system breaks down and chaos ensues
Error
When Gabriel brings up McClane's police record, it states that he was involved in a Chicago airport terror incident in 1990. In Die Hard 2, the airport terrorist attack took place in Washington DC, not Chicago.

It is the year 1250 B.C. during the late Bronze age. Two emerging nations begin to clash after Paris, the Trojan prince, convinces Helen, Queen of Sparta, to leave her husband, Menelaus, and sail with him back to Troy. After Menelaus finds out that his wife was taken by the Trojans, he asks his brother Agamemnon to help him get her back. Agamemnon sees this as an opportunity for power. So they set off with 1,000 ships holding 50,000 Greeks to Troy. With the help of Achilles, the Greeks are able to fight the never before defeated Trojans. But they come to a stop by Hector, Prince of Troy. The whole movie shows their battle struggles and the foreshadowing of fate in this remake by Wolfgang Petersen of Homer's "The Iliad."
Trivia
Coins are placed on dead characters' eyes before their bodies are burnt. Ancient Greeks placed a coin in the corpse's mouth, not on the eyes. However, the Trojan War occurred before coined money was invented (in the 7th century BC), so they wouldn't have had coins at all.

Error
When Kate is sitting waiting for the last train, there is a close up on her legs, showing that she's wearing black fishnet tights. All through the rest of the film she seems to be wearing sheer black tights.

Throughout the story, the colour in the film begins to drain to monochrome, thus representing the central character's deteriorating health as the poison steadily takes it's toll (until it is in black and white as in the opening - presumably showing the flashback catching up to the current time-line of the story).

Joe's mercurial temper causes his artists to forsake him for other labels,in particular his young lover Heinz Burt. Now in debt and after unwisely parting from his chief financier Major Banks,Joe finds himself unable to control his life. Increasingly paranoid,believing he is being bugged by rival record companies and that everybody is out to get him,the last straw comes when landlady Violet tells him she is selling the building in which he lives. Joe had once confiscated a shotgun from Heinz. Now it is dangerously close at hand and about to end the Joe Meek story.
Anachronism
The film is quite clearly set in 1963 but the registration plate of the black van in which the group are touring shows the suffix "D" which was issued in the year 1966.

Characters are loosely based on Charles Starkweather and Caril Fugate, a young Nebraska couple who in 1958 embarked on a mass murder spree across the Midwest that horrified the country. The characters in Terrence Malick's Badlands are also loosely based on Starkweather and Fugate.

But in the reception of one of those doctors, Duane gets his first ever date, with the receptionist, and wants to start a positive life too - when the freak twin escapes, these scene is set for a grim finale

Most of the credits that appear on the end of the film are fake. The crew was very small and rather then repeat the same names over and over again they decided to just make up names

Can Sam stop the cycle of violence and make something positive from the destruction he caused or will his journey into Adulthood end here?
Error in continuity
In the scene where Sam fights with a person in the cemetery. The fight scene shows sunlight and shadows in one shot and missing in another. This is repeated while they are wrestling each other on the ground.

The house of Mater Suspiriorum has already been destroyed, and by the time Mark arrives in New York City, he is investigating his sister's murder.

For film buffs who like watching the old stars:

By chance, I caught a programme on BBC2 one afternoon last week about Tony Curtis. There was also one later in the week about Orson Welles.
Today's programme was about Gene Kelly.

The programme is called: 'Talking Pictures' on BBC2 at 3:30pm each day and is featuring old actors and clips from their tv interviews in times gone by.
Michael Parkinson's show interviews feature heavily.

Very enjoyable and worth having a look at on the BBC iplayer if anyone fancies catching up with them.

Revealing mistake
When the Vice-President's coffin is carried into the church, the flag's field is at the left rear of the coffin. Either the flag is misplaced, or the coffin is being carried feet-first into the church, which is against all tradition.

If you can watch this film without lusting after Angelina Jolie, you are either blind, or a poof, or both

The movie starts as a monster of unknown origin destroys a building. As they go to investigate, parts of the building and the head of the Statue of Liberty come raining down. The movie follows their adventure trying to escape and save a friend, a love interest of the main character.

Right at the outset, they are given false names with an intention that they won't get too close and concentrate on the job instead. They are completely sure that the robbery is going to be a success. But when the police show up right at the time and the site of the robbery, panic spreads amongst the group members and one of them is killed in the subsequent shootout along with a few policemen and civilians. When the remaining people assemble at the premeditated rendezvous point (a warehouse), they begin to suspect that one of them is an undercover cop.
Trivia
Directly prior to the scene showing the coloured bottles of soap, you see two shirts hanging on the wall, and a rag in the distance on the floor. These are appropriately in sync with the surnames of the characters in their present states. Mr. White and Mr. Pink are upright and close to each other, corresponding to the two shirt colours, while the orange rag laying in the distance would be the position of Mr. Orange in the next room.

Only seen Reservoir Dogs of those four. May watch again.

Winter refuses to accept that she is a mole or a double agent but her actions begin to raise doubts. Just who is Evelyn Salt and what is she planning?

Revealing mistake
When the Vice-President's coffin is carried into the church, the flag's field is at the left rear of the coffin. Either the flag is misplaced, or the coffin is being carried feet-first into the church, which is against all tradition.

He brings in convicted hacker Stanley Jobson (who only wants to see his daughter Holly again but can't afford the legal fees) to slice into the government mainframes and get the money.

Halle Berry agreed to the topless scene - ostensibly for an extra fee of $500,000 - because she wanted to overcome her fear of doing nude scenes. This was on top of her initial fee of $2 million.

When the girls arrive in Paris they share a cab with a stranger named Peter, and Amanda lets it slip that they are alone in Paris. Using this information an Albanian gang of human traffickers kidnaps the girls. Kim barely has time to call her father and give him information. Her father gets to speak briefly to one of the kidnappers and he promises to kill the kidnappers if they do not let his daughter go free. The kidnapper wishes him "good luck," so Bryan Mills travels to Paris to search for his daughter and her friend.

Character error 
On the boat toward the end of the movie the sheik's main guard makes a mistake in Arabic. The word "boat" in Arabic is "Safina", but he says "Fasina".

The battleship Missouri is about to be de-commissioned. Casey Ryback is Captain Adam's personal cook. And Ryback is always butting heads with the ship's XO Commander Krill but the Captain always intercedes. One day, after the President visits the Missouri, which is also the Captain's birthday, the Captain learns that a helicopter has been cleared to land on the ship by Commander Krill, which he was not informed of. When questioned Krill tells the Captain that it's a surprise for his birthday, the Captain then allows it. Later after another one of their scuffles, Krill has Ryback locked in the freezer. During the party, the rock band reveals themselves to be mercenaries, led by William Stranix, a CIA operative, who is in league with Krill to unload all of the ship's nuclear warheads. They lock up all of the crew and make preparations to remove the warheads. And Krill remembers Ryback, Stranix sends two of his men to take care of Ryback, only thing is that Ryback took care of them.
Error
When Ryback jumps over the fantail of the ship, the letters of the ship's name are white. They should be black.

During the race for a spot as one of Barages's drivers, the GPS says that Don and O'Conner have a quarter of a mile until their destination. It takes them 48 seconds to finish the quarter mile. Hardly fast, is it?

Sophie presses the tracking device he's found in his pocket into a (white) bar of soap he's taken from the toilets and throws it out of the window into the back of a truck. The Louvre toilets are supplied with large lemon-shaped lemon-scented soaps fixed to metal rods over the sinks, and there are no windows ar all.

Angelina Jolie lost out to Kate Winslett for best actress for her performance in 'The Reader' which was a travesty of justice, for me.

True Grit (2010) - BBC2 @ 21.00

Western remake. A drink-hardened, one-eyed US marshal helps a 14-year-old girl to avenge her father's murder. The unlikely duo set off on a trek through Colorado, joined by a Texas ranger who is also searching for the murderer.

A masterful remake with Jeff Bridges in the role of Rooster Cogburn and Hailee Steinfeld as Mattie Ross, who for me stole the show.

If you haven't seen it before you are in for a treat.

A very solid 8.5/10 job.

I enjoyed it Slippy, well worth a watch.
