Once more the butler and His Royal Highness are in agreement.
Billy Joel wearing his learning so heavily, putting a tricksy history lesson to music in 'We didn't start the fire' and I've bamged on ad nauseum abouth the shouty nothingness that is the one hit from 4 Non Blondes (put 'Two Princes' by The Spin Doctors in there whilst your at it and PULL THE T!TTY BEARD OFF THAT STUPID PHOOKING LEAD SINGER whilst you're at it). Assuming stuff by all Xfactor-type pondlife is already on it's way to Hades' fiery pit then stuff by 'proper' artists, written down in bold in the 'RTB Book of W@ank' include: Imagine (#1 with a 45mm bullet!) Shiny Happy People Mr Wendell Ebeneezer Goode Groovy Kind of Love (Phil Collins) Little Bird (Annie Lennnox) |

Please lady, please, lady, don't just walk away
'Cause I have this need to tell you why I'm all alone today I can see so much of me still living in your eyes Won't you share a part of a weary heart that has lived a million lies Oh I've been to Nice and the isle of Greece Where I sipped champagne on a yacht I moved like Harlow in Monte Carlo and showed 'em what I've got I've been undressed by kings and I've seen some things That a woman ain't s'posed to see I've been to paradise, but I've never been to me Charlene |

Robbie Williams- Angels. If that record had stiffed he was going to be dropped... so near, yet so far.
****cat Dolls- Don'tcha... Smug, sub hen night dross. Oasis- Champagne Supernova. Mawkish dreck from the 'rock' band of choice for sales reps and 'work hard play hard' types. N-Dubz- Perm any from far too many. |

10) Sit Down - James
I'm going to take issue with you here HRH. I think that the lyrics are fantastic and it's the over production and chant along chorus (with actions ) that makes no sense I had an accoustic version ( which I assume is the original ) and it's fugging excellent |
|
By:
Really? A couple of my mates I often go to gigs with, and generally see eye to eye with musically, love James, but I just can't have them. I think it's Tim Booth's vocals that grate with me. He sometimes sounds like he wants to be Bono. She's A Star, Laid, Come Home - don't like any of them. Born Of Frustration is ok, but Sit Down with the banal chorus makes my ears bleed.

Heard 'Alive' by Pearl Jam for the first time in ages
Glorious riff and potentially interesting lyrical matter for the listner to get stuck into. Is it about adoption? Child Abuse? Not incest surely? Redemption and ones ability to survive? Who knows because EDDIE VEDDER'S FARTING GREAT VOCALS AND VERBAL CURLICUES MAKE IT UNLISTENABLE! So I stuck 'Jeremy' on the i-pod. Which is about a child psycopath..... |

As I'm waiting for my dinner, I'm in a mood so here are mine ( I've only put songs that can conceivably be liked by other people )
1) Extreme - More than Words - Spare me 2) 10cc - I'm not in Love - Another Our Tune Special 3) U2 - Most of them, but Beautiful Day really grates 4) Bill Withers - Lovely Day ( just the repetition ) 5) Foreigner - I wanna know what lurve is - over earnest tripe 6) Gerry and the Pacemaker - All of them equally 7) David Bowie - Blue Jean & China Girl - He should have stuck to the drugs and cross dressing 8) Hanson - mmmbop - irritating, but strangely catchy 9) Katy Perry - California Gurls - I can switch my ears off until all that WHOAAOOOAHH bit comes on and alerts me that it's still on 10) Professor Green - I need you tonight, rip off. I find his Alvin and the Chipmunk voice nauseating Now wheres my nosh... |
